You can request to change your statement date. By request to change the Statement Date, the Payment Due Date is also changed.

u by default statement date is follow your card issue date?
cos i don't see my statement and don't know my due date. This is my 1st 2 weeks using the card.
For safety i've been checking the amount on mb2u and pay my card every 2 days after swiping.

You may call the CS to ask what is your Statement Date. It's good to know, as to "time" your purchase to maximise the time to pay the bank brows.gif

To change statement Date : Call to the CS is good enough. Maybe even an email will suffice.

Get a call from Maybank (03 27725000) to verify my CC transactions. I asked why such got such activity and the officer said it's a random checking.

Does anybody receive similar calls?

In end of July (30 July), I charged my amex card but did not receive the cashback. The transaction was only posted on 4 August. Called to CS and enquired.

Just now got a call from the CS of Amex. The cashback is calculated based on transaction date. But the cashback will only be paid based on posting date (i.e. the tranx is part of Aug cashback).

Just for sharing.. anyone encountered b4?

Transaction need to be posted first before any form of rebates can be calculated right ? It won't even appear in M2U until it is posted. And if it is posted late then how to give out the rebate ? (Note : Posting of the transaction depends on the merchant and not the bank. The bank already captures the transaction the moment it occurs)
As it appeared only on Aug 4 which is after the end of the month, rebate will only be given next month. I don't see any anomalies to the situation. cool2.gif

Rebate will only be given next month. Yes. No anormalies here. Just that if your transaction on the current month is maxed up, then the transaction for the previous month which posted only in the current month will be meaningless. It's no longer considered as part of July rebate. Not sure if you get what I mean or not.

Example:
July cashback RM20
Transaction in July weekend which only posted in Aug RM500

August weekend transaction RM1000
August cashback RM50 (inclusive of the RM500 transaction which posted in Aug)

So have to be careful when swiping at month end.

Yes. I received a call from them yesterday moments after swiping my card. It's good to verify the transactions done.

Added on September 5, 2011, 8:57 amJust checked. The above scenario was posted earlier. So just ignore my post. May be this can be included in the FAQ at post #2. Thanks. smile.gif

Thanks for this piece of info. So in the event where the rebate is carried forward to the next month, the cap is still RM50 doh.gif

Need confirmation from a few other forumers who faced the same situation as posted previously.

I had experienced this before as well, where the transaction was performed on the last day of the month, and posted on the first day of the next month. The rebate was carried forward to the next month.

The question is, whether you get more than RM50 or not (assuming you maxed the cap for current month)?

I got the full RM50 rebate for August but there is no way to know if i got the rebate for last month's (3 payments charged to my MBB2 AMEX in Bangkok was cleared on 1 & 2 Aug) because i spent more way more than RM1000 on the weekends in August. My mom maxed out hers too.

No. Definitely can't or else i would have gotten more than RM50 this month.

Has anyone used paypal to pay for something and subsequently pays paypal with Amex? I'm not sure how paypal works actually but I'm planning to buy something and payment options consist of credit card (vs/mc) and paypal.
