Found a very useful note taker, Freenote.
It supports handwriting mode.

i still cant figure out how to connect shared drives using es and fm hd. oh well. nd to tweak more.

btw, just bought a bag from pg IT fair at d'piazza. a vztec bag for 12.1". VZ-LB-1612. its a 3in1 type. too bad no 10.2" type to be perfect fitting, bt it still does the job. RM55.

UPDATE: DOH! darn it... ive found the problem. silly me. i was still dumbfounded on why i could'nt connect after i tried a lot of settings on my Win7. until i realised i havent checked my 3yr++ old wi-fi router. and lo and behold, i was logged in using GUEST(PSK), hence no connection to local shared.... sweat.gif

after re-login with the actual personal pwd, everything was smooth... thanks for being patient with me~!

if you have an android phone you can tether your connection as a wireless hotspot on your android phone and access from your transformer.

I AM FACING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE HERE!!!!!

I sent my unit to Asus Center @ Imbi Plaza for inspection because of the keyboard locking issue, they admitted that this is their product defect and they issue a form for me to do DOA (one to one exchange). They said they don't keep the stock and I need to deal with the shop (seller) to get it exchanged. I have reported this issue ONE month ago and due to stock availability, I wait until now still got nothing.

I have been calling the seller and Asus Center, both of them just ding dong me between each other. I am like working with government office now. I don't know how much time and money have been wasted for calling and waiting and at the end they still can't promise me when will the stock arrive and let me exchange.

This is definitely a very bad customer experience with Asus. It made me feel so regret to buy from them and should have gone to iPad earlier on but I like android tablet.

Should I decide not to get one now? That's why I only trust a few brands out there. However good the product is, brand and customer service is important. HTC has the same ding dong ding dong experience.

Apple handles this pretty well, even through Maxis. No ding dong but definately one to one exchange. Bear in mind that its only during warranty period. After warranty.....

Actually I think if you buy it from a decent reputable shop, should there be any problems within the first few days you should be able to get a 1to1 exchange. otherwise ask before u buy if they do 1 to 1 exchanges should there be any issues and take down that person's name. if you're worried about warranty, dont be, asus has their own service centres here, but i'm not sure how long it will take to repair a damaged transformer unit, i guess it'll take some time for them to fix since i've read many reports even for other countires who send their transformer's for RMA, took them weeks to get it back. so depends on your luck i guess.

Wise to read the posts to identify sellers who can give you support problems. There are some like Asus Evernew where consumer tribunal reports were made against them for poor handling of customers. Look for others who had good comments...

You also can use MiFi device to act as a router... Digi got it's own broadband plan complete with MiFi device: http://www.digi.com.my/internet/mifi_overview.html

You also can purchase MiFi device from computer shop... Eg: D-Link
