QUOTE(SubRoutine @ Jun 4 2011, 01:51 PM) 20 Cell Phones With Least RadiationApparently Gizmodo ranks the Ideos X5 as the number 5 phone with the least amount of radiation. Yay for lower cancerous cells! As for those who are worried about battery life, use the Power Control widget and disable wifi/gps/background syncing/auto-brightness when you dont need it. For even more control, try using JuiceDefender that can automatically help reduce battery usage as you use the phone. For power users who have rooted the phone, use SetCPU for minute control over your CPU cycles. I use the ondemand profile when im running on battery, and the powersave profile when the screen is turned off. Helps me so far. Also, try not to use task managers. Turns out, if you keep killing tasks that you frequently use but dont need at that moment, Android actually uses more CPU cycles and battery power to run it again when you need it later. Leave the managing to Android, that's why it's voted as the best OS with multitasking ablities compared to iOS and others BTW i have updated the owner's list, if anyone is left out please post or PM me. Been busy this past few days, so much to do lol I prefer Green Power.... Because when I used Juice Defender, there wasn't really any improvement...

I told this to my dad.... Who is using a Moto... and was lecturing me about radiation from phones...... I told him your phone is proven to "leak" radiation... EDIT: I can't access that site.... Also awesome site comparing phones performance that has been overclocked. http://smartphonebenchmarks.com/ The X5 at 1.5 ghz is faster than the updated galaxy s at 1.2 ghz.

QUOTE(monkimajik @ Jun 4 2011, 11:59 AM) Anyone tried using Papago X5 on the X5? Or any other GPS nav software? How is the satellite lock compared to other phones? Fast? i'm using papago x5.. so far, the satellite lock is much faster compare to my old g5.. locking speed varies, sometimes lock in less than 3 mins, sometimes more.. Office Suite Pro. There is also a free version in the market. Comes standard in Xperia Arc & X10.

Just flash the original boot.img back, then itll return to former state. Why would anyone want to unroot? Want to claim warranty perhaps?

I don't want to lose my contact/sms/apps/etc.. btw.. anyone know what this boot.img file is for? This post has been edited by shadow111: Jun 5 2011, 04:02 PM

It looks like its a file which determines your kernel and other boot stuff (boot means startup) I don;t think you need to reset... But don't take my words because I don't own this phone...

Flashing original img files which u backup allowed u to return to out of the box status, essential for official OTA update and warranty claim purpose aka unroot and restore. I synced my contacts then installed a few apps before i root. After the rooting process is done, nothing is changed. Except superuser abilities and faster performance.
