Anyone know if Ideos is going to release 2.3 for the x5? And when? Also any custom roms being developed for the phone? Like on Xda?

Performance-wise, the X5 is better than the Galaxy i9003 right? I see the galaxy quadrant score below 1000 stock, this can reach 1500 with OC. Trying to decide between the two. The 200 or so price difference is negligible.

QUOTE(akash3656 @ Jun 3 2011, 12:36 PM) That Galaxy i9003 like its older brother the i9000 also has lag issues.... Moreover, its graphic processor is inferior to Ideos X5.... You also get touchwiz 3.0 (which I hate) with the Galaxy i9003... Thanks for the info!Galaxy i9003 also inherited the GPS lock issues of the i9000... The thing is, i9000 has a official 2.3.3 Europe ROM that solves the lag and GPS.... But there is no 2.3.3 (leak or official) for the i9003.. Dump the Galaxy i9003 get the Ideos X5! |

Anyone tried using Papago X5 on the X5? Or any other GPS nav software? How is the satellite lock compared to other phones? Fast?

when i check my phone storage, it says Internal SD card Total space 2GB available space 1.18GB, then Internal phone storage available space is 54MB. WTF! And I keep getting messages saying no space to install shit. What's happening? Is it partitioned? Like only 512MB or something to install apps and the rest is for what?

QUOTE(shadow111 @ Jun 9 2011, 11:23 PM) no issue using papago with 2g network.. work fine for me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112857 Waha! Used this with CWM, now I have all 2GB for internal storage.Added on June 9, 2011, 11:26 pm the 54MB is the space left for the rom.. for android, most of the app install inside the rom.. unless u use app2sd to move the app from rom to the internal mem or memory card. |

I oced my phone, 1.5 Ghz some random hanging but am using 160 rom. Works fine at 1.2. Super awesome phone. Though I am still trying to delete the ass software that comes with the phone. Titanium can't uninstall it, like the Huawei IME and the demo games and with root explorer I don't get the Mount R/W option when I got to the /cust/maxis/my/app where all the demos are. I'm running B160 from modaco with root. Help anyone?

its ok actually i use setcpu smartass or u can use the ondemand profile and tweak the advanced settings to optimize battery so it will only ramp to 1.2 when the processor hits say 95% and above. it wont be at 1.2 all the time.

Anyone tried running papago x5? when I run it it says unsupported resolution 450 x 675. Thats some weird resolution. I know papago supports 800 x 480, our Ideos resolution. Wonder why it says 450 by 675.

I'm trying to customize the internal storage space using this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112857 I'm confused between Internal SD card and Internal phone storage. Does Internal storage mean the partition for the OS/system files? And Data means space for the user to use? Whats the recommended minimum then for the internal SD card size? What would happen if we just used all for data? Would the phone allow that?
So does this mean our phone actually has 2723MB internal storage? Is space already allocated for the system files then cause its such a weird number with storage space usually being the multiples of 2. Anyone who can help me understand this, I am much grateful. |

Awwright! Current phone hacking, B160 ROM and 1.8 Ghz kernel, gingerbread theme, setcpu performance. Quadrant = 2300. Thats what am talking about. PiBench 510ms. Galaxy S2 take that! Ran lots of benchmarks, never hung even once. Though temperature did go up to 42 deg C. And under Quadrant Global rank check who's no.1 under Ideos X5. Malaysia!
