thanks for the info, cause i read from gsmarena only mentioning 512 RAM and 2gb internal memory

i would like to hear more user feedback as some are reporting bad battery life, probably can be improved by flashing it to custom vanilla rom? i saw there's OC rom with 0 crappy bloatware in xda
*
For me, Ideos X5 battery life turn up quite good, modarate usage would last me around 2 days, i'm pretty sure every android phone need some tweaks to be more mature in battery management, eg : screen brightness, data on/off setting, some widget like tasker to modified your daily use, overall Ideos X5 worth every cent i pay for and very value in the terms of performance and build.

Actually about ~400 MB usable for apps.... I heard from another user........

In this price range, you can't complain..... Galaxy Ace has only ~150 MB for apps.....
*
Ya 400mb is good to go, i have 60 apps and games in phone and guess what...220mb+ left.

good to hear that, yea if you compare spec it is slightly better than ace in terms of gpu, but ace has video call for those who need

Brand doesnt even concern me, main infact i like to use phones that seldom used by others. tongue.gif Somemore Huawei is mainly a multinational networking and telecommunications equipment giant within the market, my router and wireless modem is huawei made and it doesnt even cause me any problem at past time, guys dont compare brand to brand and dont comment that which is good and which is not, every phones have its pros and cons, just take it, or leave it.

i charged yesterday nite.. till now it's down to 66%..
i didn't use it much also.. screen brightness around 30-40%..
*
New battery need few circular charge before stable, most new set will only last 1 day even with 8 hours charge, dont worry, it will be better. smile.gif

Any idea how to access the 512 ROM? When I connect to PC only the internal SD and SD card show up. I need to delete some files inside the ROM.
*
Is impossible to access to the ROM files itself as it is only build for system partition, only solution is to root and access with root explorer. smile.gif

Updated front page with new user list, essential apps and other stuff like custom roms! Dont blame me if you brick your phone lol, even im still learning the ropes.

As for rooting, it is imperative that you root your phone so that you can use apps like SetCPU, AdFree Android, MarketEnabler and Titanium Backup (most important!). So far with mash-up settings in SetCPU, i get an average of almost 1 day of usage before i need to recharge at night.

Thats with Wi-Fi never turned off, push data from Gmail, TweetDeck, music before bedtime, 40 minutes of phone call and massive amounts of texting.
*
Rooting enable full access for your phone, customization, overclocking, flashing custom roms and lots of modification. And i would say android nowdays live up because of this, freedom to do everything u wan with your phone, ahem thats include bricking as well LOL laugh.gif

As for custom roms, just wait for nightlies for CM6 or CM7, stable version of modaco, pretty sure they're worth waiting. smile.gif

oh.. what a good news.. make me wanna try it too.. smile.gif

btw.. encounter a weird situation.. earlier i didn't install any microsd on my phone.. n i install angry bird which is auto installed at the phone memory (2gb).
juz now, i put in my microsd and the angry bird not appearing anymore..
does that means i can only choose to use either on? on board 2gb memory or external microsd?
*
For android phones with internal SD, after install apps or games, the option to moves to SD is only appliable on internal SD which means apps in ROM, apps or games data on internal SD, as for external SD, its usable only for media files like songs, videos or photos. smile.gif

oopss.. i think u misinterpreted what I'm sayin.
i hv installed the angry bird, and default it's installed on my 2gb onboard memory..
after that, i put in my microsd. after that the game is not available anymore in the app list..
once i take out the microsd, it appear again..
*
Uninstall it then reinstall when memory card onboard, should solve your problem. smile.gif

don't push too hard on oc, someone in galaxy s thread reported that his phone got cable or something melted in his phone when he sent for warranty and warranty void due to that
*
Haha, actually i tried OC once, stable at 1215mhz, random reboot at 1498mhz, but back to default after that, just trying to hit quadrant with OC, 1.2ghz at 2123, 1.3ghz at 2246, 1.5ghz should hit 2.5k+ but dint try lol tongue.gif

just get my X5 today~ anyone can recommend me nice application that u all use in android? i still new to android so have no idea which apps is better
*
Hmm, is always good to get some launcher for start, AWD launcher, GO launcher or maybe Regina3D is good.
Get 3G watchdog is u concern about data usage, App2SD also nice for starter.
Dont forget to spend some time with games. Plant vs Zombie, Guerilla Bob, Need for Speed, Angry Bird Rio and some gameloft HD games will be good served by Adreno 205.

Welcome to the club btw smile.gif

Hi guys. Anyone can give tips on how to update the onboard flash 10.1 to 10.3?
Should I uninstall 10.1 and then install 10.3 or should I just install 10.3? Will it update the 10.1? Sorry about asking simple questions like this. New user here. smile.gif
*
Just proceed to market, Adobe Flash Player is just by the top of application column, update it, should perform better then 10.1 smile.gif
