This is also a good one. But consider the courier charges as Amazon rates are crazy higher than others. Get the yoobao 6000mah only rm135 from lelong which is proven good and reliable

was quite disapointed that galaxy s 2 uses tegra 2 or exynos chip instead of other chips, tegra 2 got pwned by other chips such as qualcomm snapdragon n apples a5 chips

a5's powervr is 3-4 times faster than tegra 2 geforce(or the mali chip found in exynos) n snapdragon's adreno 220 is 2 times faster................which means iphone 5 which will hav a5 will still b the most powerful phone when it is released........previously the galaxy s is so much more powerful than iphone4...

a5 > snapdragon > tegra 2.........

mayb samsung use tegra 2 to reduce the cost of the phone as tegra 2 is curently the weakest and cheapest chip curently, dats why the galaxy s 2 is sold at only arnd 1.8-2k..............which is also the same price with lg optimus 2x(which is also using tegra 2) when it was released months ago.......

was quite shocked wif the price since i tot it will gonna cost at least 2.5k...........

sgs2 is (probably) launched in other parts of the world like almost 4-6months ahead of iphone5 (we will know when its released).

after the launch of iphone5, it's probably another 6mths before sgs3 gets launched. by then will you say the same?

what abt comparing sgs2 with iphone4?

but honestly, no point complaining. easiest way is... dun like, dun buy. if you want power and think iphone5 will be the most powerful phone around in a few months time, then get iphone5 when it launches.

Hi everyone, I am a new owner of SGS2..

Got a big problem..

Just yesterday..i charged my phone fully. WHen i wake up this morning, it was 5% left. I checked and found out wifi sharing was draining the battery.

Anyone faced such drastic drop? I never enable wifi sharing..
I freezed the wifi sharing using titanium backup. Some say flash angelorom. Wanna ask sifu opinion here smile.gif
*
seen you problem before on my set, end up freezing it, no biggie..
freezing it didn't even affect the wifi hotspot capability.

the symptom can easily be spotted through battery usage, namely under the "CPU Total", indicating the CPU (or the wifi module) was turned on during standby state.
never rely on the usage%, as that just a relative indicator, it's useless piece of info.

Uncle benny,

Mine is AP set. Anyways that i can test the battery? I mean i do feel mine drain a little bit faster..

I don't know is it because I never charge overnight for the first charge..but like watching video using headset..for like 15 mins can cause a 5% drop.

One more thing i dont really understand is:
I am using lite-ning rom 1.4 XWKF1..but my baseband version is still XXKE7. but my kernal version is ZSKF1. How can i make my baseband version consistant or does it matters?

I have disabled the wifi sharing and will report back..but such a drastic drop..like 90% overnight..

So why don't you do a 8 hour overnight charge as suggested by many. Personally I don't do it. I don't even practice those methods charge n recharge off etc etc ad proposed by dhd users.
As your phone still new observe few more days. Don't get too worried now. But I must say the big drain overnight is disturbing, disable WiFi since you are not using itthere are many theories why such battery drain happen . Best is still you set your own controls on battery usage overnite. Freezing apps esp default apps you do not need will help too conserving battery

And the rojak mix in ROM doesn't matter at all .

No surprise as SME RRP is at 2099 and some are preorder selling from 2000 to 2050.

Just imagine those of us early users who paid rm2400 to rm2800 for their overseas sets. We console ourselves these as additional costs to be an early user and enjoy it 1 to 2 months earlier. So is the premium worth it. As far as i am concerned worth every single sen. This is indeed a marvellous phone. I am even willing to pay rm3k for it comparing to the rm2.9k I paid for my last HTC hd2 when launch.

i bought at rm2.45k with total 3 units, one for me, one for my dad and one for my friend.. i feel it's okay since i have it 1 or 2 months earlier but not sure how my dad or my friend will feel.. tongue.gif

the thing is, the ap seller is willing to lower their price to the cost price or even until below cost because they already have lots of profit from previous sales of sgs2..
