No surprise as SME RRP is at 2099 and some are preorder selling from 2000 to 2050.
*
AP set would settled at RM1.8k once SME set is out. RM200 diff in price and
u will see other used phone drop in price as well.

the phone is definitely worth 2.4k I paid for earlier, can't believe it is so cheap now but it's all good, means more users can join the sgs2 bandwagon.

bro you don't have to worry about the kernel stuff. You can flash the chainfire's which includes custom recovery and SU, busybox and you'll get root.

Does this Yoobao YB-631 compatible for SGS 2?  I had ask the seller, he was like kind of unsure about it's compability with samsung. Thanks for the information:-)

Why not ? Just plug in any generic USB-micro USB cable ( or your phone cable ) into it as it comes witha full USB port. These are just chargers and all other external chargers too are not brand /model specifics . It comes with too many other commonly phone tips. When buying such external battery charger important is to look at the output - for just for charging your phone - is a no brainer - just plug in. This charger output is 1000mA. However if you own a higher input requirement phone ,e g the Dell Streak it needs minimum 1000mA unlike all other common smartphones 500mA is the norm. The Galaxy Tab, HTC Flyer example needs 2000mA but at 1000mA it will still charge but slower - connecting such devices to it you will see the battery usage rising up faster than charging. So is best to use it to charge such gadgets on standby mode

Right !!! One thing nice about Samsung's roms - you can flash I called a ROJAK mix /combination. You can use Europe firmware with an Asian baseband radio with a multi SCS or region specific CSC - it doesn't matter at all. Look at all the rom developers combination - is a rojak mix too. They mix in , in their best opinion the best combo for you. I will only recommend you change the phone modem file if you are not happy with it. But having tested so many roms, I do not find any issue with all the phone modem files
Example in my Galaxy Tab, I use a Europe based firmware but I use an Asian baseband radio. At one point it was the reverse, Asian firmware and Europe baseband radio

if feedback from other members are to be believed, you dun have to worry coz:
#1. its almost impossible to brick the phone
#2. if something goes wrong, just go to Samsung and smile at them... be nice. they will reflash for you and tell you dun flash (your phone, not other flashing) too much...

correct? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(mezzi-quan @ Jun 16 2011, 01:09 AM)
was quite disapointed that galaxy s 2 uses tegra 2 or exynos chip instead of other chips, tegra 2 got pwned by other chips such as qualcomm snapdragon n apples a5 chips

a5's powervr is 3-4 times faster than tegra 2 geforce(or the mali chip found in exynos) n snapdragon's adreno 220 is 2 times faster................which means iphone 5 which will hav a5 will still b the most powerful phone when it is released........previously the galaxy s is so much more powerful than iphone4...

a5 > snapdragon > tegra 2.........

mayb samsung use tegra 2 to reduce the cost of the phone as tegra 2 is curently the weakest and cheapest chip curently, dats why the galaxy s 2 is sold at only arnd 1.8-2k..............which is also the same price with lg optimus 2x(which is also using tegra 2) when it was released months ago.......

was quite shocked wif the price since i tot it will gonna cost at least 2.5k...........

why would u go and compare what is in the market now with what is not yet in the market lol the A5 will probably emerge in the market at year end, that's when the tegra3 will be released too and that tegra 3 aka Kal-El equivalent to a core2duo T7200 notebook processor will eat your surely A5 for breakfast, lunch and dinner rofl....that time r u gonna say A6 which has not released will tapao the kal-el? lulz...be realistic ,man...

have u check out the review of the GS2 in the net, it more or less tapao the i4 and guns for the i5 which HAS NOT RELEASED YET lol its like comparing an apple with a rotten orange, thats the power of a 1.8-2k perfect smartphone...not to mention the strings of i4 limitations that surely give alot of frustrated i4 to jump wagon to GS2.

No offence; I use to say only A DUMB GUY can brick his SGS II phone rooting it using Odin. If he knows how to use ODin, flashing is just a piece of cake.
But a SMART guy can brick trying to root/HSPL a Windows MObile 6 smartphone if he is not careful. A smartguy can easily brick his Dell Streak flashing it. Rooting and flashing the SGS II is so, I say freaking easy. As long as you know how to read simple English , you will be OK

Reminds me of : my car can launch off from the stoplight and hit 100 kph at 6.5 sec but yours only at 7.5 sec. But the faster car cost RM 350,000 while the slower car cost RM 180,000 - so paying RM 170,000 for the faster one second - worth it ??

Put in simple terms: Flashing WM roms need a +10 effort ; doing it on the SGS II is minus 10 effort

yea also reminds me that the apple overcharged their phone all the while...samsung show taht a perfect smartphone that incorporates all the future proof features still can price their iconic smartphone which probably is their best model EVER...at a mild 2k plus only...

apple cheat their customer so much money Lol nola, actually apple just charge premium for their models only when the cost to produce actualy much lower, brand name ? premium for being different i supose
