I understand exactly what you are trying to share. Therefore, if I'm looking for one good lens to invest to pair it up with my D7000 with crop-factor, that would be 24-70 if I wanted FX lens, otherwise the DX King? What's the current market rate for 24-70?
*
I would say go for 2470. brows.gif

One of the nicest lens ever.

A noobie question about battery grip. Will there be any future effects when I use Phottix battery grip with one Nikon original battery and another one Phottix original battery together in my D90 ?
*
What future effects you mean?
I'm using for few months already and nothing happen..still work perfectly.

Plan changed on my side, most likely I wouldn't be joining as I got another wedding to shoot on Saturday. Wish me luck and will practise to learn more smile.gif
This photo may not favour the subject. Remember, as CY mentioned before also, female usually very typical and particular about their skin tone and body shape. I'm not sure about others, but somehow I see her legs like "gigantic" from my point of view. It would be better to skip such frame or you move up higher to shoot at a higher angle.

"Thing near to the lens will look big and thing far from the lens will look small" - quoted from Nigel Barker.
Why not consider SB-700?

Impressive photo thumbup.gif

In your case, there's already a sub-forum called : Showcase  cool2.gif

Yup. I vote for 24-70 as well. thumbup.gif

i believe hes talking about voltage issues that may harm the cam, that may happen with using 3rd party stuff.

True, I read before some D90 getting damaged due to using third party grip before.

Don't remember the link, but back then was deciding between Nikon or third party I did came across it.

Sure, some people is ok. But when you have problem due to third party grip then you gonna start complaining?

If one can accept the fact that using third party is risky, then go ahead. Although chances is low, but its still there ;-)

also its really no point saving around rm100 for a 3rd party grip, when you already spent way more for the dslr.
unless of cos ur dslr got no official grip.
some 3rd party grips are also badly designed, i tried one for the D3100 couple weeks ago...damn shutter button so far away.

How often you guys use the horizon indicator? Izzit only available in D7000 or all models have it? unsure.gif

I assigned that to my Fn button and sometime it made me searching for it when I'm holding the grip laugh.gif doh.gif

Yeah, agreed. Pay so much for the body, but to save a bit with third party grip =/

Nope, single shot only for this. Was using TTL through the commander. Actually a bit earlier I still call pump ISO for it, but the color contrast sucks.. cause everything is bright lol. Was not prepared for this anyways, so just used my SB900 with a VAL (voice activated lightstand tongue.gif) to shoot lor... could have been much better if I was prepared with 2 light stands and 2 flash instead.

Time taken as per EXIF is May 29, 2011 at 7.27pm MYT

i dont use that indicator much, cos the default viewfinder grid on D7000 already good enough.
my Fn button is set to 'flash off'.
