If I'm not wrong, D7000 is the best entry level camera from Nikon right?
so you mean the shutter sound actually comes from the body itself, not the lense?
*
D7000 ain't entry level..LOL
only D3100 and D5100 count as entry level.

QUOTE(C_Sagi @ May 27 2011, 01:03 AM)
Ahh, meaning should i just leave my lappie in the bag and let it scan thru unless they personally ask me to take it out ? I mean since it'll have to scan no matter what anyway... smile.gif
*
like agito said..if they ask u take out then take out lo..if no just walk like normal..
but last sunday when i flying, they did ask me to take out my laptop..just sharing..

QUOTE(Agito666 @ May 27 2011, 01:05 AM)
D7000 should be mid range for me...because got TOP LCD?
if you got budget then go for D7000, because after you learn that you will find the button on the body in D7000 is VERY USEFUL for fast setting for shutter speed, iso, apeture , white balance, metering etc...  icon_idea.gif

He left his little bro's number with me, but whenever I call, it said that the number is incomplete sweat.gif. 017 btw. He'll be leaving to Kuantan tomorrow for his big bro's meeting. I'm too still yet to be able to contact him to collect the strap.

You could find it at the left side just under your lens where you can change the AF or MF. Press the button along with your shutter speed dial to change whatever preference you like. Just thought this to one of my friends that got his d7k last week  biggrin.gif
*
QUOTE(vearn27 @ May 28 2011, 12:29 AM)
For D7000, there's a button on the A/M Focus Mode Selector, press the button and rotate the Main Dial at the same time to switch in between modes smile.gif
Not necessary need to buy, just download the Nikon D7000 manual jau ok la tongue.gif laugh.gif
*
now i confuse, is he asking the af mode? such as matrix, center weight etc?
if so, then on D90 the button near the on/off button, same as D7000 nid to rotate the main dial..
btw, D7000 change to btm there..wont it be hard to change?

QUOTE(vearn27 @ May 29 2011, 03:24 PM)
Is there any battery meter on the SB-900? I don't know what's the battery level now but I shot over 700+ photos set it as fill flash, still can go on.

Anyway, I reached the "Thermal Cut-out" indicator like 5~6 times today sweat.gif. Really panicked as the flash is not able to fire and the first time it happen when the bridegroom reached the moment to open the bride's room door doh.gif

I pushed my ISO to 3200 but yet to get "acceptable" frame. Later on the flash regained and just in time to capture the moment he open the door~ phews! Thanks again for not happening during family shot and kissing moment.

How you guys managed to control the heat of the flashgun? Just turn off the "Thermal Cut-out" and shot only?

Anyway, it was a very good experience today. The situation changed where I become the OP because my friend is busy and the other photographer (friend too) absent. It's kind of important to lead them indirectly where then you'll be able to capture some good frames. Indeed flashgun bring photography to another level. I compared between my shots and my friend using the same body and same lens, that's whole lot more different! Thanks to everyone that helped me out for it with advise and sharing experience notworthy.gif
*
i just try not to spam with the flash..like 10sec 1 shot could easily get the thermal cut..
as for the battery indicator, there is none..i just prepared another set of fully charge battery and put in in case no more battery..

Yeap, there's a bracketing button on the side of the pop-up flash head.

Hmm... my suggestion would be they're clearing the 50mm f/1.8D stock while launching the 50mm f/1.8G in M'sia.
*
if there a bracket button then why want made the fn button another?

Just took out my flashgun to remove the batteries for charging to get it ready for the weekend. To my horror I noticed the Nikon tag that closing the power adapter on the front of the flashgun gone !!! I thought I dropped it during the photoshooting last weekend and thankfully it was in the softcase after I digged it. Phews~ !

It's so easy to drop off? Anyone dropped it already? sweat.gif

Anyway, who's in line with me for July? tongue.gif

D5k user with kitty lens reporting in smile.gif

Today encountered one damn funny situation.
1 guy was camwhoring with his GF with a dslr. After finish taking pictures he took out the lens and tried to take pictures without it. He went on to rant 'why I buy this lousy camera' in public.
I was sitting behind him and I almost LMAO'ed till I fell off the chair.
Edited for easier understanding. Very simple already icon_question.gif

try to balance ur horizon, and the tree leaf top there quite annoying..
