Umm, i thought the free voice calls are including to the different telcos? If like this, how come people need to be in the U mobile 3G area at the same time?

what you're talking about is the free 100mins credit given by RM28 prepaid plan,right?
I'm talking that currently if both parties are using um3g and under um3g area calling,the call will be free of any charge,and not charge on the free credit too.

First few weeks of using Umobile I got at least 1.70 Mbps (normal over 2 Mbps) but now only about 1.05 Mbps .
They talked about upgrading but seem to me like downgrading.
I am worry this new 42 Mbps plan will affect a lot on UB68 Users's speed. You can see it's happening now. No point of creating a fast 42 Mbps plan but reduce the current user's speed.

i think can because last time i use 384kbs for dota no lagging

for on9 gaming, speed is not important, the "ping" or latency is important

Maxis hav the best ping whereas UM also hav good ping if you are near the tower

Usually when i heard that the ISP is upgrading their service, i sincerely temporary stop using their services unless i have no choice until their upgrade is finished....

go there and do a speedtest, if the 'ping' is less than 150ms, you are lucky

The free credit is only used for local calls,so when you make a call to overseas,surely that will charge on your cash balance.No reduction of either free credit or cash balance is only applied when both sides are under um3G coverage and so of course is local call.

Added on May 28, 2011, 5:10 pmi think as HSPA+ has some technology to separate downlink and uplink channels,the ping time could be significantly reduced compared to current HSDPA or HSPA network,as I saw from other foreign mobile service company that has been using HSPA+,sometimes ping to local sites could be controlled around 50-80ms.However,if a large number of users are heavily consuming the bandwidth,the ping will be higher too.

Faster upload speeds will result in faster response time(ping).

You will experience pings below 50ms on average if you're on their HSPA+ DC 42mbps network.

This is also true with fiber networks and why ATM technology went dead with the introduction of gigabit ethernet.

Yeah,hopefully Klang Valley area could be covered by HSPA+ 42mbps asap.Now it's going to be 2nd half of this year soon.

Klang Valley will not be introducing the 42Mbps BUT will launch the LTE ie 100Mbps soon,

you have to subscribe the package by dial *118# on a mobile phone first and then choose where you want to use.However,if you only use it with doogle,you will waste the free talking time and sms.

How come Ipoh is also not getting the 42mbps HSPA+ upgrades?

The only 2 areas now not covered are the Klang Valley and Ipoh.
