Tonight, there many website hosted in Malaysia cannot access using UMobile. They are accessable uisng other ISP. (Sill resolving DNS thing?)

1. The upgrading thing, is it for the UMobile service for the whole country or certain town only?
2. Is there any new plan for broadband prepaid plan? I can't take any post plan, they said I blacklisted.

High speed does not means that it is good for gaming....
*
True.
High speed means you will be downloading a lot of movies. Downloading 700 MB is soo fast. That bring to...
High speed mean your credit will be eaten up very fast and your FUP speed will kicked in within just a few days rclxm9.gif

First few weeks of using Umobile I got at least 1.70 Mbps (normal over 2 Mbps) but now only about 1.05 Mbps .
They talked about upgrading but seem to me like downgrading.
I am worry this new 42 Mbps plan will affect a lot on UB68 Users's speed. You can see it's happening now. No point of creating a fast 42 Mbps plan but reduce the current user's speed.

I am curious. First they launched 42 Mbps and then coming LTE 100Mbps. How their infrastructure going to provide these type of speed without affeting current users?

If current users of other plan get 1Mbps and they want provide 42 Mbs plan, shoudn't they upgrade their server capability 42 times (idiot way of calculating 42/1=42? Are they really commited to upgrade their infrastructure capacity 42 times? To double the upgrading need a lot capital, leave alone 42 times.

I am just saying these because I am worry current UB68 user will be affected. Look like the speed 1Mbps (used to be 1.5-2.5 Mbps) is GOING TO STAY. I only read in this forum saying UMobile is upgrading. Where's the news or official annoucement of ugrading? Are they really upgrading? Upgrading their computer's mouse to wireless type doesn't count as upgrading.

What's this new "Prepaid BB Bundle Plan"?
M-Broadband Plans MB135
Price RM135
Data Allowance 5GB
Access 30 Days

How come 5 GB only? for RM135

Better stick with 2 prepaid ubroadband plan, right?

@Lengchaiboy, all the umobile links in the first page in this thread need to be updated. All the page link return to umobile homepage.

Hello fellow forumers.. I have a problem here with U Mobile.. Last month I used up my 5GB quota (subscribed to MB68) and they throttled down my speed.. After the expiry, which is 2 weeks ago, I renewed my subscription (MB68 again) but my speed is still throttled. I got around 112kbps download and upload. I thought they will take time to reset my speed but until now, two weeks already, my speed is still the same. very2 slow. I called CS 3 times but the answer is always 'wait'. Just now got fed up and called them and scolded them. But still, same speed. Why is it so hard for them to just reset it? Anyone facing this problem? how to tell them to reset my speed? Its been 2 weeks with this same crappy speed and I couldnt take it anymore sad.gif

You are having problem exactly like what I had. You can check my prevous post and other's reply on that.

1. Well, you need to put on a thick face and call them EVERYDAY until they give the back the normal speed. That's what they want, you just give what they want. They want you to bug them everyday becoz they enjoy listening their customer scolding, they even record your scolding so they can do repeat listening. Welcome to Umobile Club.

2. I am serious about my first suggestion, you need to call them until they give back the normal speed. But your best choice it to get a second SIM card to rotate. PM Digilife for the tips.

3. I find out myself that when your 30 days expire, do not immediately re-subscribe, you will get the trottled speed. Wait for about two week after expire then you will get the normal speed when you re-subscribe. Weird huh? Welcome to Umobile club.

Those are among those thing you need to expect when you become a Umobile club. member.

P/S: I am really pissed off when writing these. Talk about that later.

ok guys, just got my umobile prepaid at sunway today. and then topup rm30 and apply for rm28/month 500mb quota.

i really amaze with the speed. plus at sunway, it seems 42mbps its not a talk kok situation. youtube streaming is like just start watching n d streaming is already half done.

im seriously impress. and their price is cheap as well. now im considering to ditch my maxis stupid n expensive plan and go for u mobile. free sms and call.. what can i say. just wow.

btw, i topup rm30, but i havent receive the 4.50 rebate. its always come out late?
*
Rebate comes 1-2 hours later.

You watch streaming video with 500mb plan? I can't wait to see how long 500 mb last and whether you going to say their price is cheap after that.

Xcen, me too, happened in rampage this few days.

I notice too that this few days, I can't acces certain website due to IP. Eg I cannot download from fileserve, it said "my IP is already downloading a file". I can even access one of my regular forum due to "your IP is banned". Happened to several other sites too. Did UMobile changed back from dynamic IP to fixed shared IP. This is not good. Told you they are dowgrading.

Hi,i today 1pm terminated the UB68 n register for UB128 since i quite heavy user on-the-go with mifi. satisfied with the average speed(1.2mb-3.3mb on places around KL) .better than digi, celcom n maxis.

my question is,y i now still could connect the using the UB68 sim card since i adi terminated it? will i b charge if i using it? (hope for free  tongue.gif )
*

You need to give more details. You mean you will be using UB128 using another SIM card? I thought can use the same simcard for UB128.

My guess is you can still connect UB68 bcoz u still have credit (probably bonus) with your sim card. It's not free, sorry for the bad news.

I can confirm this based on my xperience with UB68: What happened is when your UB68 expired, if you have credit balance, you still can connect. The credit balance will be deducted without your permission (I suppose you what to utilize the credit for next renewal offset, right?)

Don't connect if your UB68 already expired, your credit will be deducted automatically ( i don't know at what rate they make the deduction). Better use the credit for renewal offset.

Other thing: My area is being downgraded, this two weeks my dl speed stay at 0.7 mb. I used to 1.2-1.6mb since I first subscrbed UMobile. What upgrade? They just open up to more area to get more subcriber, that's not upgrading.

why umobile always prompt me to input pin no each time i do a connection. cant do a auto connect .pls help
*
You can configure the simcard NOT to input PIN everytime using modem/driver/dialing software. I am not sure what type of software you use, i am using celcom driver/dialer.

Maybe you want to request the standard software (if Umobile has) from other user who has the modem provided by Umbile.

I am UM68 user for several months now.

I mentioned before this why I am worried when the start to offer the 42 Mbps and when everybody said they are upgrading. I was waiting patiently and kept telling myself after the upgrading that it will be better. and now..

I used to get over 1.6 Mbps (UM68) when I initially started to subscribe Umobile. After they said they are offering 43 Mbps package and I hope they have enough capacity to offer that and shoud not affect other current UM user. But no, after that my speed stuck around 1.2 Mbps. No more 1.6 Mbps.

That's still okay. But last two week my speed maintained around 0.8 Mbps. That still fine with me but got other problem - a lot of disconnecting. Tried midnight to morning, thought that period is better with less user. Nah, that the worst period, a lot, lot more disconnecting. Didn't really happend prior to this. Need to refresh url in the browser many2 time then only can get.

Yesterday, I just reactivate (with a second sim card) for a fresh new month, stated fresh and the speed still 0.8 Mbps. The disconnection way too frequent. My signal bar become too volatile. Used to get 3 bar but now seem like most of the time 1 bar, sometime 3 bar. connected but like not connected - need to referesh url in browser many2 time. What type of broadband is this? Berukband.

That don't look like upgraded service to me. Anybody can honestly testify here that they really get upgraded service, something you can really feel? Better speed? better connection? Better signal? For me, it way downgrading. Expanding coverage area to get more susbribers while the current user affected badly is NOT upgrading. Changing a new better mouse pad is hardly upgrading neither.

sad.gif Disapointed. what choice we have? Yeah, the best among the worst.

Hiding behind Fxxk User Policy.

Location?
Have you check how many signal bar lately?
My one drop from 3 bar to 1.

I guess it more like it shows you are connected but you just don't get the internet.
Umobile is just unusable anymore for me. After over 3 months subscribing, how UMobile turned into this is beyond me.
For me it beyond pain the arse, it like they fk you in the arse for good.

Wow. That's new. Chicken Little.

I ask here, as I told you I was trying to get that guy to verify his sources as I also do not believe that the throttle speed is 64kbps. Don't reply to me as spreading the rumors, reply to the OP who I was replying to.
As for the calling the CS. I plan on calling but not when I don't have signal or don't have time to wait the queue out. Have any idea how to call the CS when your phone don't have signal?

Isolated case, try searching for @umobilesb on twitter or see their fb wall, then tell me it's isolated case. I am not the only one with the signal problem.

You clearly might be defending U Mobile from the tone of your replies. Hey I just switched from DiGi and P1 last deepavali to U mobile, I'm still new and plan to give them the benefit of the doubt as to their reliability. We're both on the same page bro, i'm not bashing U Mobile or anything so don't get too hyped up. And stop calling me Chicken Little. I don't appreciate that. (I'm certainly not little)
*
Baliwesti ,

I don't think your previous post as fishy. Your case is not as isolated as mentioned by someone. Your frustfration is understandable. I have a different case (few months back) just to say sometime the info you get from CS is questionable:

I can connect but there is no internet access at all. Called CS and that guy told me it because I overused the bandwith. (BTW I am using UM68). I told him if I have already overused the 5G quota i should be throttled, not cut off the access at all. I asked several time. Thay guy repeated the same thing. At last that guy said he will bring my case to the technical dept (and as usual nobody call me back).

Should my internet access be throtteld instead off to be cut off totally? What kind of unlimited plan is this? Is that info from CS is correct that if you overused the quota you access can be cut off even it is under unlimmited plan?

The Klang Valley is very different from other areas in Malaysia as it's heavily laid with fibre at every corner now.

You can see almost all lines in KL have fibre running on their poles now.

When that happens, bandwidth is no issue and they could pump them cheaply to radio/wireless base stations whatsoever.

5.5-6.0mbps is probably the highest you can get with a 7.2mbps HSPA rated device with overheads.
Double what with Dual channel, and you should be getting around 12-13mbps on average with a 21mbps/42mbps HSPA device.
*
They said The grass always look greener on another side. I am in Klang Valley. Within Lembah Pantai constitution. I don't feel lucky as you might have thought. With Umoble I managed to get the speed over 2.0 mbps with my first month subscription. The subsequent months never get over 2.0 . My speed is about 1.5 (non-throttled speed). Frequent disconnection. This one week, the disconnection happened way too frequent (estimate every 5-10 minutes). Until today, still remain the same. I went to UMoblie Berjaya, they said the classic excuse "We are upgrading". What can I do? The technology behind is not releveant to me, it is the end result to the customer. They can talk on the news of what ever tehnology for the sake of their shareholder benefit but as as customer we need something that we can really feel. At least not like what happening to me now. (yes, I am disappointed)

BAD NEWs for those enjoying extra bandwith without being throttled after quota.

The system is now automatic, once quota used up, the managed speed will kick in automatically. With UM68 I used get something like 7-8 Gig before being throttled. But now it immediatly after 5 Gig used up. You may notice now they even have automatic system to sms you once when you used 90% of the quota and another one when 100% used up.

Damn, it really terrible when being throttled, the speed you can still tolerate but it get disconected every few minutes. Can use for checking (e.g. email) purpose but for surfing - expect to reconnect again and again.

I just took the Booster plan RM10 for 1GB. Suddenly, yes back to normal. No disconecting thing anymore. Damn, is that the way (keep on disconneting user under throttled speed) Umobile getting people to buy Booster plan? Disconnecting user that way, is that FAIR user policy.

1. What is 'timeout' refer to exactly? I don't think it refer to this:
While under throttled, I keep been disconnected. I need to dial again to be connnected. And then get disconnected again. Need to dial again to get connnected.

2. Post paid user can enjoy 1.5 Gig for the RM10 booster plan.
Prepaid user only 1 Gig sad.gif
