Hi everyone,

just wanted to ask something. I got registered for u mobile u28 plan by "accident" this afternoon at a roadside after the salesperson stopped me. Dumb of me i know, but i wanted to know if i don't activate the sim card (meaning the sim card stays nice and new) do i still have to go to UM centre to be cut off their list?

for postpaid,
if you cancel today, you need to pay today 19 July to 31 July.
Mean if you cancel 30 or 31, you still need to pay that amount also.

U mobile statement is on 1st every month. ( correct me if i m wrong )
Last time i visit them ( 1st July), the next counter got 1 girl want to terminate the line, the sales said, if you terminate the line today, you still need to pay for this whole month. Why not you come back on 30 or 31 and cancel?

So it doesn't matter whether I have used the sim card or not, as long as I registered I'll have to pay? hmm.gif

I'll have to be smarter and stop accepting whatever people shoves into my hand without thinking it thru doh.gif

hi guys,

I'm going for 128 plan but was given a 7.2Mbps modem (for free).

I'm thinking whether I should go for faster modem (42Mbps modem or 21Mbps MiFi) with RM20 monthly rental - if YES, I shall request for it or cancel it since I'm still under the 7 days MBG!

I need to share Internet connection with my wife at home so, regardless which I go for, I still need a router - if the MiFi supplied by U Mobile (with RM20 monthly rental) is not recommended, please provide me your recommendations.

hmm that mifi is ok speed is faster also, but worth to try in rental ? cool2.gif
up to you, the plan consider cheaper and good on sharing and the speed compare to yes 4g, but hard to make a decision on rental or 1 time buying

for georgetown, coverage till tanjung bungah, speed is as same as kl, for 7.2mbps modem, can reach 2-6mbps, but usually <>2-3mbps

I'm currently getting 2-3Mbps. Will using higher speed of modem/mifi give me better results?

No matter what, I still need a router to share connection within the house. So, I guess should opt for a simple USB router... am I right about this? Any recommendations?

usb router's speed depends on your usb modem
umobile mifi is 21mbps
see my speedtest is tested with mifi 1, but if 2-3mbps is more than enough then just buy 1 usb router which cost less cool2.gif
