if your phone can use as modem, you can get the RM40,68,128, to use for mobile internet/ internet for laptop also.
Of course this is for prepaid user.

If you sign up for broadband only (postpaid), you are not able to call out. The sim is only for broadband.
so this sim will not able to buy the RM28 package.

oic....thanks a lot rclxms.gif

Read from earlier posts that prolong using hp as modem will fry out the 3G chips inside. I rather not try... scared to burn a big hole on my pocket tongue.gif

Validity 1 DAY? means the extra 1.5GB of data can only be used within 24 hours, after that any unused portion will be forfeited?

did anyone tried opening the apple apps store and download something?is it still slow?im planning to get one if the connection is good.

i want to put it on ipad..any apps store issues?
I'm using it on ipad2... the line is ok. on the go sometimes will fall onto celcom's network but i've tested on the same spot (my home), the speed on ipad n on the usb stick modem whereby the usb modem gives me a more stable and faster connection too. it's true and as what i've tested tho...

Not true!
Just buy a u mobile sim @ rm 8 with rm 5 credit! U can use it to make call SMS just like any normal sim. If you decided to Internet unlimited just top up your credit n subscribe to it! Well the speed is 128 kbps if not mistaken. For normal hand phone usage like light browsing fb chat is ok!

However if u like to subscribe to broadband package, just top up your credit and using your phone to subscribe to ub40, ub68 etc! But I find the ub68 is more worth it as the data limit is 5 GB and speed is 5mbps where else in 40 speed is only 1 Mbps and data limit is 2 GB. Having subscribe to broadband package u can use it to online with phone or just insert it into your dongle modem and use it with your laptop or wifi router. The credit in this sim is still can be use to make call or SMS and receiving call. There is no such thing as sim limited to data only like what Digi has!

U mobile is undoubtly the fastest mobile Internet available here and it put Digi to shame!

I read that Umobile and Maxis signed agreement on sharing the 3g. That means whenever there's no Umobile 3g coverage, will roam on Maxis 3g instead of Celcom 2g starting now???

Another thing - is it possible to subscribe to MB40, use it on the phone, and be able to still use it while not in U's 3G coverage? AFAIK this is not possible with broadband packages; curious to know if it will work on the phone when subscribed

Yes, all prepaid sim can use for all broadband, no matter RM28 ( internet unlimited ), BB40, BB68, BB128.

But, as far as i know, for broadband POSTPAID, you will not able to make call, sms.

UM windows dial up number has changed from *99# to *99***1# smile.gif

by using windows dial up, you can skip launch the (maxi$) mobile broadband program & connect.

*99# no longer default dial up number, I guess hmm.gif
