Hi. I'm considering to take the U68 Voice + data package bundled with a free ZTE Blade. I would like to ask, how is the 3g coverage in Penang? And can U-mobile receive the 5 numbered SMS now (e.g those from TAC request, OSK188, etc?)

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Oct 16 2011, 11:23 PM) only certain area have u mobile 3G and yet u mobile dont even update their websites coverages in penang,. i am using u mobile because of the IDD cheaper rates, otherwise i wont consider u mobile at all,. most of the time u will see celcom 2G network only,.. Thank you very much. I think i'm going for other data plan instead of u mobile d. Perhaps DG Smartplan for RM43 as advertised as LYN forum.

I read that Umobile and Maxis signed agreement on sharing the 3g. That means whenever there's no Umobile 3g coverage, will roam on Maxis 3g instead of Celcom 2g starting now??? http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...90&sec=business

QUOTE(mitodna @ Nov 2 2011, 09:40 PM) U Mobile and Maxis entered RAN sharing, so nationwide 3.5G coverage very soon The shared locations however, will exclude urban market centres such as the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Baru and Ipoh. Added on November 7, 2011, 2:29 pmQUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Oct 22 2011, 04:28 PM) still no point as the sharing is exclude in penang,.!! Bro, that day there was a roadshow at queensbay mall. they say they gonna cover penang island in end of this year. don't know how true is that. they say they already covered a large part of penang mainland now.
