I'm using it on ipad2... the line is ok. on the go sometimes will fall onto celcom's network but i've tested on the same spot (my home), the speed on ipad n on the usb stick modem whereby the usb modem gives me a more stable and faster connection too. it's true and as what i've tested tho...

I bought the modem package around mid july, after finish my Rm68, i never top up. So last week i check, is shows my acc active then went to buy RM50 with kfc voucher tongue.gif . Top up successful, when tried to subscribe 1 day pass RM5.00. The SMS reply shows,

I tried using sms method and few times also failed.

Thank you.

make sure you don't have any broadband which is not expired yet, even the RM28 internet unlimited.
You can't get another request if your current broadband, or mobile internet still running....

I believe there is a catch between the Broadband MB40/68 plans and the RM28 Unlimited Mobile Internet plan.

The latter is much slower actually with less priority given to traffic.

I've tried both but the RM28 Unlimited Mobile Internet seems to be way slower averaging around 1.2mbps.So the small 500mb is not just the catch.

Barely you can reach 2mbps but the postpaid/prepaid broadband plans have smoother experience.

Thanks for the comment. However I check my broadband satus it stated I do not tied to any plan at the broadband.

Postpaid broadband cannot make call? then how bout prepaid broadband? So if my prepaid one month finish, when I use interne it will automatically counted as data perusage?
If prepaid BB can use together as call, then it is really great. The charges for prepaid calling is very reasonable.

if you are on Prepaid BB MB40/68, u can surf (on UM3G) + make voice calls and even use the rm50 topup voucher (+free rm10 KFC voucher) to topup and make free calls U~U for 60mins a day

There is difference. The uMobile customer staff also told me that. It has lower priority than the MB40/68 plans.

For me, there is no different between RM28 internet unlimited and U68. Has been use RM28 for 3 months, speed is about the same with U68 now...of course i'm comparing on the prepaid only.

Not sure on the POSTPAID broadband only package.

customer service told me, u cannot boost extra data if ur on any postpaid plan (BB or BB+Voice)
same goes to prepaid rm28 unlimited BB+Voice plan.. once quota reached, u'll be stuck at throttled speed....

booster only available for prepaid BB only.... so advisable for prepaid (BB+voice) users to subscribe to normal BB plan instead of rm28 plan if data is important.. wouldnt want to be stuck at throttle speed when u really need it the most....

as of now, i'm still waiting for my old Hotlink number to be ported to Umobile.. should be anytime now (hopefully)..

yippe!! im fully ported to Umobile already...
bye bye maxis.. it has been a good 5 years...although not the cheapest..
