should I call up Cust Serv if i occasionally experience sudden disconnection?
when it happens the ZTE Modem program will suddenly show Celcom roaming instead of Umobile, then i have to re-plug in the modem then only it'll show Umobile and can connect again.
sometimes it don't show celcom, it show "no service" instead, then I'd have to do the same then it'll detect umobile again..

something wrong with the sim? something wrong with the modem? btw I'm on the old U68 with 3.6MBps ZTE modem..

Validity 1 DAY? means the extra 1.5GB of data can only be used within 24 hours, after that any unused portion will be forfeited?

customer service told me, u cannot boost extra data if ur on any postpaid plan (BB or BB+Voice)
same goes to prepaid rm28 unlimited BB+Voice plan.. once quota reached, u'll be stuck at throttled speed....

booster only available for prepaid BB only.... so advisable for prepaid (BB+voice) users to subscribe to normal BB plan instead of rm28 plan if data is important.. wouldnt want to be stuck at throttle speed when u really need it the most....

if that's so, why do they send me an sms telling me i can buy 1.5GB quota @ RM10? hmmm... nvm I think I'll go str8 to their branch to ask tomorrow.

I wanna ask about the MB Day plan...

user posted image

I'm currently using U68 postpaid plan and exceeded quota so currently the speed is bloody slow but the 1.5GB booster can't be used because its not available for U68.

But I need a good and stable connection for this coming Friday night around 10pm to Saturday night 1am, can the MB Day plan help me? how is the 1 day plan works?

Sorry for a noob question,  sweat.gif
when will umobile reset their quota?  sweat.gif
when will umobile calculate their bill (according to the date we apply or at the end of the month?)
*
for postpaid,

billing and quota reset is different..
billing is when u 1st sign up, eg if u sign up during 15th... then every middle of the month is when ur bill arrive, however quota is reset every end/beginning of the month regardless of billing cycle..

Hi guys, new here. Currently using P1 rm49 for house, and DiGi for phone broadband. Living in 18th floor condo. Both suck like shit. Thinking of changing to UMobile MiFi for 24/7 use, RM68 package for 21MBps 5GB package. Main use in Kepong and PJ.

Advisable?

the 18th floor might be a problem... but its worth a go..

BAD NEWs for those enjoying extra bandwith without being throttled after quota.

The system is now automatic, once quota used up, the managed speed will kick in automatically. With UM68 I used get something like 7-8 Gig before being throttled. But now it immediatly after 5 Gig used up. You may notice now they even have automatic system to sms you once when you used 90% of the quota and another one when 100% used up.

Damn, it really terrible when being throttled, the speed you can still tolerate but it get disconected every few minutes. Can use for checking (e.g. email) purpose but for surfing - expect to reconnect again and again.

I just took the Booster plan RM10 for 1GB. Suddenly, yes back to normal. No disconecting thing anymore. Damn, is that the way (keep on disconneting user under throttled speed) Umobile getting people to buy Booster plan? Disconnecting user that way, is that FAIR user policy.
*
weird, last month I got throttled too, and yes it'll send reminder when 90% has been used. But even though I experience freaking slow speed, I don't get disconnected. Maybe you should call CS to complain ur situation.

At this link they state there's a FUP rule. But no mention about 128 kb/s or 64 kb/s. Any link where they state speed cap is 64 kb/s?
