can as long as u go back to froyo. if u flash back to ezbase will be more easy cause already got root and 2e function so u no need flash kernel.

just tested Asphalt 6, works great laugh.gif  only that Nova has white screen, can't be played. read on other forums that they experience the white screen problem with Nova only. I guess Gameloft ditched Nova and support Nova 2 for Gingerbread, as it only works on 2.3 onwards smile.gif

Hi, I am a new user to android. I had just bought an Used SGS. I hav read all of the posts on this SGS thread but find it difficult to understand. doh.gif
Now, I suspect that this phone had been flashed before. The current info are:
Manufacture Date: 20.8.2010
Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband: I9000/XXJPY
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
curio@carton#Voodoo_stable_5.4.1
Build Number: Darky's v9.3.XWJS5
Now, if I were to claim for warranty, I shld hav this phone hard-reset to its stock rom right? sweat.gif
What shld I do to hav it hard-reset to its official rom? I tried the "volumeup+home+power" but couldn't find any "wipedata" option.
Kindly help me to resolve this, or wld u all suggest that I stay on the current rom? fyi, I have no trouble for now but scared if sumtin wld happen later on. TQ

i dont know how normal people without any knowledge of flashing/rooting custom firmware can stand with stock firmware SGS cause i've tested to play around with fully stock zsjpj, and i can say its really really laggy you know. even when trying to open contacts, scrolling between the homescreen, i cannot stand cause too slow. luckily by the time i buy this phone, it takes me only 2 weeks to learn how to flash all the custom rom and speedmod kernel.

oh ya, i got a question in my mind tho,if we frequently flash our phone, does it will reduce our phone lifespan? im planning to use this phone at least 2-3 years before changing a new one. i've been flashing for like, 20-30 times already.

edit 1: what is the current hot rom for xxjvh? is jvh rom is good? and especially for the front face camera for apps like in Tango and Fring is working? i use tango a lot. tongue.gif

+1 thumbup.gif

totally agreed with you... not so sure but if im not mistaken my SGS only with Stock rom last about 3 - 4 days only... then going forward to Custom Rom + Speedmod Kernel... If im not mistaken my first custom rom was Darky's 8.0...

After flashing and flashing one of another ROM + afraid of Brick... bought USB Jig for RM30 as for my security purposes... whistling.gif
I also need to know whether there is possibility to reduce SGS lifespan if keep flashing.

BTW, any one know whether SGS battery slot can feed SGS SL battery (Lion 1650 mAH)???
