ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Install the Nexus S USB-Drivers from SDK-Manager if you're using windows.
Don't flash any other kernels! It will break your system.
To revert to a samsung rom, simply use odin with repartition option enabled.
Don't try to convert a onenand partition to another filesystem!
To format a onenand partition at shell use erase_image. e.g.: erase_image system, erase_image cache
To flash a image to onenand partition at shell use flash_image. e.g.: flash_image system system.img, flash_image boot zImage

i did face problems but thats on JVB, havent tried JVH, seriously JVH that stable and that good? i'm very tempted... both MIUI and JVH are very very tempting but i wanna finish my Sacred Odyssey first...

u need to download n install android sdk
next update it with nexus S driver then everything is solved

    1: You need to have a copy of the files on /efs partition of the device, to do so then your device must be rooted, have busybox installed and have ADB installed on your PC, then execute the following in Command prompt:

        cd c:/your_ADB_directory_name/platform-tools (Use cd c:/your_ADB_directory_name/tools if you are using an older ADK versions)
        adb shell
        su
        cp -r /efs /sdcard/efs
        exit
        exit

    Move the copy of the efs folder from the internal sdcard to your PC and keep it safe, you never know when flashing, do it now if you haven't done that yet.

I've already jump to JVH.. lol.. gonna try and see how they works. yeah, MIUI rocks   I love the UI though haven try it yet

tat's to backup ur efs folder, if I'm not mistaken, u can use root explorer to copy the folder out to ur internal sd then keep it safe in ur pc. can anyone confirm whether using root explorer works??

- I booted into windows. ADB driver is updated and I can open the phone sdcard

addon: touchwiz launcher is compulsary to use kies.
