quite a value for money. slightly better than yokohama ar1.

btw, regarding on the placement of new set of tires, oversteer and understeer is one thing but braking and running wheels is another factor.
fwd cars' front usually works more than 70% harder during emergency braking (out of sudden, ppl use to cut in front of us, aren't they?) with worn out tires,
you may not be able to stop in time. and how often we drive fast in wet?

wise move is to place 'em to suit your driving style / malaysian's driving style tongue.gif and... season!
after all, its only cost a few bucks to rotate the tires.

about the gy f1, ps3 and re001, every tires has had their own high and low(from my own experience while using 'em).
gyf1 - good in wet and dry. lose out to ps3 on intermediate but come out flying during downpour tongue.gif
one of the noisiest tires around ; due to the thick directional pattern.
ps3 - good in wet and dry. excel on intermediate condition while still offered comfort and quietness the other 2 can't match. soft sidewall is
a big letdown thou. pumping higher psi during touge' doesn't help big time.
re001 - good in dry, lose out to both competitor in wet. a good choice for spirited driver who likes to attack corner thou.

Would like to ask all the masters around...I am driving a P.Waja with re002 front and back. Just change one month ago... Chamber setting and alignment are all stock standard. I used to set -1.5 rear and -1 for the front in my previous Hankook. Now tyres too expensive so would like to ask if my rear i set -1.5 will it makan dalam?

well, you could tell from the previous experience with your hankook whistling.gif
a more negative setting may caused slight wear on the inner shoulder / tread.
nevertheless, you gain much during touge' brows.gif

Papa, If toyo i would recommend Toyo C1S. Very grippy in wet & dry condition and give a good high speed stability.

haha how come i become papa here. lol. Ah yes the C1S. I remember that tyre. Almost took that but choose ps3. Similar pattern i think. That was maybe almost 2 years ago. For toyo there's higher rating tyre like proxes isn't? Or is it called R1R/t1R??? Confused not really know much about toyo.

Now looking to try toyo as my next tyre. Already tried silverstone, bridgestone, hankook, michelin, kumho.

Appreciate for some advice and review... 195/50/15 (Myvi)

KUMHO ECSTA KU31 - RM170+.pcs
(Existing Tyre...so far no complaint of these brand of tyre...only reach of 45% tread start getting noisy
lately got new tread (KU37 i guess) ).

Achillies ATR Sport - RM170+/pcs
( My workshop recommend me...He even use on track....Dry Wet condition are quite equal....what do you guys think? some review said is noiser than KUMHO but more lasting...more lasting more noisy...)

Hankook V12 - RM200+/pcs
(No idea too...need more review and comments..tyre shop said grip on dry wet also good....hmmm)

Federal - RM250+/pcs
*forgot which model code but the tread was awesome and sexy.
I personally never use any kind of this LOOKS so high end performance tyre(the tread)...LoL

**I'm weekdays travelling at the road of LDP to Cyberjaya. (most of the time cruse-ing 80-120km/h s'time more)
Once a while like to cornering (I guess weekdays go to work I always weck e corner at 70 80....) sleep.gif|||
Weekend PJ - KL city driving. Two - Three months will go Genting once.

I Apologize in advanced, I'm so hesitated going after which one...
i'm not rich not poor... my budget are so reluctant IF more over than RM250 then is no no no.....
Could recommend me some tyre also too.... smile.gif

Hope to heard from you all soon.
Thanks in Advanced....

Please recommend performance tyre for awd car.
specifically 225/40/18 or 225/45/18
No semi slick pls cos im not track kaki

I see many say GY F1 Asym 2 very good. The price also quite high compare to other tyre.

How about yoko ad07, federal rsr, hankook evo s1? Or any good recommend?
Mostly for driving around places like genting. No need to be super good on wet cos if wet i'll wont push the car to limit. Just SAFE as in good stopping when wet is ok liao.

hankok v12 is ok.

high performance thread means will suffer during rain.

see the thread of michelin pilot sport 3 and michelin pilot sport cup. those are UHP performance esp in the wet wink.gif for wet performance u need straight groove.

Or advan sport. oem tyres for bentley. But since there's yokohama flagship tyre their ad08, advan sport should be below ad08.

When u say GYF1, are you refering to Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 2? Im trying to decide between this tyre and the Michelin PS3 for 225-45-R18 sizes

Definitely not, what yngwie referring is the Directional 5... As Asymm 2 is not directional and not noisy as it stated.

PS3 vs Asymm 2 wise, Asymm 2 seems to have upper hand. Price wise can be identical or certain GY dealer may offer lower price for Asymm 2 than PS3 (such as Quicksave, they offer me Asymm 2 RM500/pcs for 215/45/17, while RM600/pcs for PS3)

i would recommend yokohama c.drive2 if you dont mind the higher than normal treadwear (soft compound)

i run my car at higher speeds (around/over 160km/h) and traction is fine. whacked corners at 100-120km/h also got enough grip.

wet performance also not too bad, highest ive run on wet is around 100-120km/h, dont dare whack corners during wet though sweat.gif

in general though yokohama tires are never famous for their wet performance and most reviews will rate their wet performance being very bad and i do agree. besides the compound auto hardens in wet and sorta lose its comfort/quiet feature and the faster you go the louder tire noise gets. so yeah for my case, no reason to sweat it out when its wet on the road smile.gif
