both should be about the same. with the duraplus goes on further mileage which doesn't really
prove a point unless you clocked more km on regular basis.

most manufacturer does not give you the figure to play around.
based on their r&d, the stock tires may already offer an optimal all round balance (performance, fc,
speedo reading etc....).
to get the best result, you need to stay within 3% rule (check out the 1st page).
anything wider or thicker may affect the car's overall behaviour. including a contact between the tires and car's body during heavy load / turning / going over speed bump.
in some case, compromise between the suspension and tires setup may required.

s1evo is still one of the better value for money tires around. so does v12.
as for v2, i haven't personally try it but from the design alone, i don't think it will be better than s1evo(personal opinion).

have not try re002 yet but it looks promising.
re002 are for 'touge' driver which like to push in corner.
may not comfortable enough as a daily ride due to stiff sidewall. a softer suspension setup will compromise the ride comfort thou.

225 width with profile 45 minimum recommended 17" wheels width is 7.5jj.

i've tried both re001 and re002....feels great cruising with it (especially whacking corners) and the noise level still acceptable for performance tyres!!

comfort wise, better go for michelin!!

just my 2cents smile.gif

Hi guys ... not sure if this is the correct place to post but .. does anyone fill their tyres with nitrogen ? When i bought my rim and tyres from Klang (infamous place to change rims), they say it's good so I just pump. Now when i get back to Puchong, so damn hard to find a place to pump nitrogen. Anyone know of any place around Puchong to get nitrogen for tyres ?

puchong jaya area.. near brothers got a square open air car park rite? on the opposite site of the carpark got michelin tire shop.. there got nitro..

btw how long was your last fill of nitro? nitro on my ride lasted quite long before needing a check.. once i checked after 6 months (since i last filled them) when i wanted to rotate my tires and the tire pressure was off by 3-4psi only.. it leaks out real slow compared to normal air..

Bridgestone ACT at Puchong Bandar Puteri. There have nitrogen gas

Added on December 14, 2011, 10:18 amJust called bridgestone HQ for product pricing and this is the price that they quoted me:

225/45/R17
RE002 - RM774 per pc (RRP)
S001 - RM1390 per pc (RRP)

Anyone got lower pricing (Which i believe is possible and will happen since this is RRP)

s1evo 205/45/16 back in 2010 (exactly 1 year ago) when i brought it...
its priced at RM 260 +/- per piece...

now its RM 350 +/- a piece due to popular demand suddenly
*cough*

icon_idea.gif

a solid all rounder tyres for its price...
dry grip almost as well as RE001 (REoo1 still edge s1evo at steering feel & grip at the limit)
wet (water puddle) dispersion in my feel is better then RE001..

and best of all... same driving style.. last 6 months longer then RE001
biggrin.gif

i brought it at tek ming sunway..
