ATR SPORT this tyre any review? 205 50 16...aggressive drive... ok ah?
*
Using it now. Only the the tyre thread looks aggressive. You get what you paid for, it's nowhere near ps3 or s drive for aggressive driving. It's not too bad. Like I said you get what you paid for. If you want to drive aggressive, get the tyre that suit your driving style. Don't buy this tyre if you drive it like you're using UHP class tyre.

exactly!
am using it for drift / touge' round in dry due to its dirt cheap price. slightly better than the ol' silverstone evol8 on traction.
less progressive steering feel, noisy and actually quite bad in wet.
then again, couldn't complaint much since 4pcs of atr sport 16" is still marginally cheaper than 2pcs pf ps3. tongue.gif

50 series+16" rims on my waja with stock springs = balanced -> comfort+abit of perf..

same thing now installed on my neo with sport springs = too big n heavy for my neo.. lost abit of acceleration.. gain some comfort tho.. smile.gif

i want my perf back.. dont mind a not too comfy ride for my neo..

prefer fuel saving and last longer, maybe once in a while will corner hard only...
thinking to go for XM1, is it ok?

I agree it's bad in wet. But its traction rating is AA. Curious about the rating.

xm1 is already being replaced by xm2. you should go for xm2.

fazron80@
its expected from an indonesian produced tires. the very same one you find in accelera alpha.
one of the highest treadwear rating at 420! while maintain the AA traction rating which is unusual.
even the much better thunderer mach 3(thai brand with soft sidewall) is rated at mere A.
A few years back in aussie, those Indonesian produced tires are actually being on sale over there with the traction rating removed by factory.
nevertheless, its dirt cheap, so, no complaint.

there is one in pandan jaya carrying michelin range at reasonable price but i could not remember the shop name. located at the pasar malam area.
if you don't mind go slightly further, try kee hin in old klang road. they do a good job on alignment too.

performance wise, maxxis i-pro is easily beat the 2 tires you mentioned. sidewall different aside, comfort are almost equal (suspension setup and tires pressure play a part here) but i-pro tend to be a little noisy.
v12 is a decent choice.

if your stock tires is 195/60/16, changing to 205/55/16 bear little different on fc and speedo reading.
if it was of 185/55/16, then, the different will be quite big.
while there is an increased on handling, most manufacturer gives an indication that 205 width (with thicker profile) on 6jj wheels is fine. i've had try using 205/55/16 on 6jj wheels (rear) and after months of usage, the middle tread is slightly crumpled in(thicker tread remain) while both of the shoulder sides' tread worn out more(pressure and alignment is fine). so, consider upgrading to at least 6.5jj.

Hey guys, any recommendation for 195/50/15?

Planning to trade-in my stock Saga SE rim for a new set of rim + tyre.

Does Hin Leong @ Klang offer cheaper price of new rims & higher trade-in value for OEM rims?

you can try yokohama a.drive, c.drive or hankook v12, falken 912 or st115. decent tires.
btw, klang used to the cheapest around with most choice. nowadays, rawang is catching up.
check around for better deal.
ampang (ampang spectrum area) and sunway does offer decent prices with a lot of choices too.

my front left side Dunlop SP Sport Maxx sidewalk cracked and left a big hole on it. Man I tell you looking for a decent uhp tires in KB town is a pain in the ass man. PS3, RE002, 595 RS-R all nowhere to be found. end up gettin A-Drive R1 just for the front 2 side (RM350 per piece). 195/50/16. grip not bad on wet and dry but when you change lane real fast above 120km/h my previous SP Sport Maxx performs much better. gonna trade in this tires when I get back to KL in the meantime use first lah what to do.

just a reminder, if you're not performance orientated driver, forget about directional tire at all cost. it's so freaking noisy!

some like dunlop fm-901(95% tread remaining) could easily be the noisiest tires around.
some good tires like gsd3(less than 70% tread remaining)and some other like toyo t1r and hankook v12's has had a noise level which is still fine considering that they does offer a little bit extra in aquaplaning resistance.
