If you don't mind getting the IEM from our bulk section, you can try the Sennheiser CX300. It has good reviews from our fellow forumers(yea, it's an all-rounder, they said). I personally have not tested it, so I wouldn't know much smile.gif

Hey guys,

I'm currently using a KSC75 for almost a year and having no problems. Today I saw a Razer Pro|Tone m250 Headphones in Digital Mall ALL IT for RM129 if I'm not mistaken and fell in love with it. Is it as good as KSC75 in terms of sound quality? smile.gif

No one knows anything about them? Its been almost a week and no reply since. sad.gif

Btw, I'm asking on behalf of a friend. Please recommend a pair of headphones, the headband kind that goes around the ears but not too bulky... Budget RM100-200.

regarding the m250... no onw knows sadly. i did manage to find a review on them and the reviewer wasnt that impressed with the quality. im sure the KSC75 is waaaaaaaayyy better than the m250. that exact review i read also compared it with the m100. and the reviewer much preferred the m100 over the m250.

as for ur friend... what do u mean by headband goes around the ears?

Thought of replacing my aging ksc75. Served me well for the year despite going through pretty brutal treatment. I'll say it ranks quite high for durability. I've slept on it many times and yet the clips did not break. Any alternatives to ksc75? I don't mind spending a bit more than what it costs to get a ksc75 if its worth it. smile.gif Portability is an important factor for me. As well as design..preferably trendy looking. Hope I'm not being too fussy here. Lastly no canalphones please.. I don't want to block the world out totally. smile.gif So if not the razer earphones can someone recommend another type?

As for my friend, he wants one for gaming. Sorry I can't describe properly as Im not familiar with all these audiophile jargon. He wants those types that covers the ears but at the same time not too bulky. Budget RM100-200.

for clip ons i doubt it can get any better than the KSC75. if there is.. i dont know of any.

gaming headsets... ask ur friend to try and look for the Audio Technica A500. if price is right then those make very good gaming cans. can ask forumer ezinger. he used to sell them. dunno if he still does.

or can go to the bulk section and check out the everglide or razer or the plantronics gaming headphones. can also check out the Philips HP2700.

Currently, I am thinking of either these 2 options.

1) Etymotic ER-6i AND Sennheiser HD 555 biggrin.gif

2) Shure E500 PTH flex.gif

Option 1 is much cheaper than 2 as well and I will gain two new 'phones instead of one.

Is Shure E500 THAT good to justify the price?

Should I pick option 1 or 2?

If you're gonna spend that much moolah on these phones, I think its best you go hear them out first. You can get all sorts of suggestions in various forums but in the end, its what your ear listens to that matters. Well, thats just my 2sen.

i'd go with the Shure if you don't plan to go full desktop setup/transportable setup. That means only go for the Shure if you want a portable setup with a portable amp.

Shures and Etymotics are like Grados and Sennheisers, they are really different. You should really know which sound signature you like best before you purchase anything.

EDIT: Found out that the IM716 is slightly more expensive than the ER6i tongue.gif, i guess unless the IM716 sounds significantly better than the ER6i, otherwise it does not worth that extra money.

1. What type of music do you normally listen? These are seriously for classical lovers. If you get these two for portable and home use, which is a good idea but be aware that ER6i has 'totally' (to me) little/no bass. I would have recommend you Shures (E3C, E4C, UM2) or other cheaper IEMs.

2. There are a few users have has it? Tell them to share their experiece with you?

Ya, it's significantly better. Some even compare it the ER4?
But seriously I do not 'prefer' ERs. As it lacks the bass 'that I want'.
Even the iM716 which they say to have a lot of bass still lacks a tiny bit of bass 'to my listening level shocking.gif '. I gotta use an amp to amp it.

P/S: all are personal comments, please dont take them for real.

Quite a weird combination of options there
You sure u wanna jump straight to something like the E500 instead of trying out some lower end ones to find out what you prefer?
