guys,

can anyone suggest me a good full-sized headphone thats suitable for metal? (SPL)

would like them to be open cans to be able to hear people calling me in the office. and of course... as big as possible so it sits AROUND my ears as i dont like any part of my ears being squished by the cans. thanks

EDIT: budget of around 400 max?

no one can help me with this? i just tested one of my metal songs with the hd595 and ugh..no bass. clarity is superb though.

the philips hp250 im using now has better bass. clarity of course lose out abit to the 595.

so anyone can help?

i checked out the MS-1 and although the review seems good..... theyre friggin small....ive never felt comfortable with those kinda headphones. me need full sized headphones as stated in my quote above (as well as my other requirements). the k701 looks excellent and the review at HeadRoom is excellent too... but at USD$450 sweat.gif

btw, the 595 aint mine...belongs to my boss tongue.gif

between the Creative EP630 and the Razer Pro Tone m100

which would u go for for listening to music such as avril lavigne, my chemical romance.. and all those other alternative music?

Koss KSC75 good all rounder (clip ons)
Koss Porta Pro if u want bass (headphone)
Creative EP-630 (in ear earphone)
Razer Pro Tones m100 (in ear earphone)

check out the bulk sections for other earphones such as sennheisers etc.

spend about rm50 more and get the OVC from the bulk sections

or if not u can try out the Razer Pro Tones m100 (<rm100). reviews for them are good so far.

u wan cheaper... creative EP630 if u can still find one.

regarding the m250... no onw knows sadly. i did manage to find a review on them and the reviewer wasnt that impressed with the quality. im sure the KSC75 is waaaaaaaayyy better than the m250. that exact review i read also compared it with the m100. and the reviewer much preferred the m100 over the m250.

as for ur friend... what do u mean by headband goes around the ears?

for clip ons i doubt it can get any better than the KSC75. if there is.. i dont know of any.

gaming headsets... ask ur friend to try and look for the Audio Technica A500. if price is right then those make very good gaming cans. can ask forumer ezinger. he used to sell them. dunno if he still does.

or can go to the bulk section and check out the everglide or razer or the plantronics gaming headphones. can also check out the Philips HP2700.

yeah the SHP2700 is out in the market liao. i just bought one for a colleague a few weeks ago. not that bad honestly.

its ok la....sound siganture very similar with the HP250. but for some reason i personally prefer the HP250.

if u want headphones below 100 i say go with the HP2700. theyre not a bad can to start out with. or the HP250 if u want a really long cord (6metres!!!!! shocking.gif) with volume control biggrin.gif

or if u dont mind clip ons....the Koss KSC75 thumbup.gif

Crossroad MylarOne can be bought from walabies in bulk section

OVC TC20 can be bought from walabies and st@rk!ll3r from the bulk section
