Just check the one I just replaced, still have light leakage but a lot less severe i.e. not that distracting while watching videos.

The discussions in other forums is that the serial number where the forth alphabet is F (meaning first quarter batch) will have a high chance of light bleeding.

The second batch which should be the second quarter starting in may will be the new batch. So I'm gonna try my luck again in two weeks. At least I get a new ipad 2 every two weeks. haha..

So I queued up at Harvey Norman Ikano Power centre at 8.30am this morning. By 10pm there were over 150 people queueing? I was probably the 1st 30 and I only managed to get my hands on my iPad at 1pm. Harvey Norman's service is terrible and at first they forced the customers to buy their bundled accessories or else you can't buy an iPad.

ANyway, I was wondering if anyone got an iPad and have got problems with it? I noticed that I have backlight bleed issues. Anyone else with such a problem? I got the 64GB Wifi version btw.

Do post your experiences here! Does queing up tomorrow (saturday) morning to buy one, be sure to skip harvey norman cause they suck!

I also queued at IPC. Im probably number 40.

Got my ipad at ard 11.30. They never tell me to buy the package.

Service was good for me. So far my ipad no prob. Cheers.

ipad2 wifi 16gb mine is white.. got light bleed but in white color la... but small area near the volumn button

my way of checking when i got to my car @ car pack(duh!) the whole car is dark.. just ON ur ipad2 while you are seeing the apple logo.. quickly put it under left side passenger seat u will see the bleeding

Here is the step how to check backlight bleed:

Step 1: Cover rear facing camera with your hand to take a black screen picture.
Step 2: Set your iPad's brightness level to max.
Step 3: Go inside any dark room in order to see it clearly.

And you're done.

i line up in 1mk HN from 9.30. and by 10.30, they said all ipad sold out even for those so called pre-order. service sux and wont be their customer probably for the rest of my life.

Yes, its common for the ipad 2 to have backlight bleeding.. its been reported worldwide.

Those of u facing this issue, can send it back to the store for a replacement

I check mine at switch@theMines.. Bleedfree!

I activate ipad then capture one dark scene under table using the camera and lookout if there is any light..
