 Discussion - Ipad 2 Screen Bleeding Problem, 80%+ Ipad 2 having same issue

The whole world is having these issue on their iPad 2 FYI.
Im one of the victim.
Read other forums some claimed to exchange more than 5 times and it's still the same.

I told you all and warned you all about this earlier.
Since day 1 also iPad 2 that's been sold out mostly has this issue.

What they did was just keep it for now till apple released a better batch Which I'm hoping it's this batch.
I posted mine light bleeding last time but now I dunno where to find the picture.
Others are lucky enough to not get it.
Goodluck others hunting iPad 2 with no light bleeding smile.gif

And to add most who got affected is really severe like TS, mine a few corners like that.
Some are lucky just to get one side patch of light only coming out.

There's a reason why us termed the iPad 2 light bleeding cause it's severe rather than the normal term light leakage from all the other devices smile.gif

To some it's an issue and to others is not.
At first I didn't really mind but casual watching movies at night makes it annoying that it's there.

Bought it at such a price an I'm getting it something like this.
FYI to others mine is from Paris White set kena.
My sister black from Australia also I having te same problem.
I really envy those who had no issue whatsoever sad.gif

And both I'm a victim of it.
Kinda regret getting things first hand brand new just come out although I have to pay the premium sad.gif

I'm waiting for Singapore to release and go exchange mine there, since I'm in jb and I don't why but I have a strong feeling Singapore batch would be ok. Hope Malaysia one is as well so that I won't travel so far sad.gif

Just to update you all again with my case.

So after countless email exchanging and calls here and there, a dedicated and friendly CS head don't know from where is assign to my case.

In a nutshell, in 1-2 weeks time they will send me a brand new iPad 2 ordered from the apple online store made by the CS.
Just give my mailing address and my cc details as safety precaution just incase in 10 working days once I received my iPad 2 and I don't ship out my iPad 2 back to them.
They say they will pick it up and I don't even know how would that work.

I opt for this option cause I know virtually anywhere in Malaysia is quite hard to get stock.
So yeah people that's my case now, the waiting game again sad.gif

They are going to give me a brand new one, once received my brand new iPad 2 which is 3 weeks waiting then in 10 days they will send someone to pick up my faulty iPad 2 thumbup.gif

Now stocks are low my friend. Try to find alternative ways to claim and on which store. If you're lucky then you might get it.

Well for me I chose for them to send me a new one cause I have high hopes that the next batch from the factory would be no problem at all, wishful thinking smile.gif

I'll voice out now by giving apple a call and get a case number.

Seek for their advice on the stocks issue.
If you wanna wait for 3 months later also can but for me I rather do it now cause the thought is there and I find it annoying having such problems.

As you can see my light bleeding is quite bad sad.gif

Probably it was a demo unit or a tester for trainees or something.

Can claim in the country you are there also what.

Well so far apple has not disappoint me. I just hope with the brand new iPad they are shipping for me to replace my faulty one now would not have any problem.

So you're saying if we buy the iPad 2 and we have such problem we should just keep quiet and live with it??
By us complaining and ranting her and trying to get a replacement from apple is lame as it is our right as a consumer to begin with??

People I strongly advice all of you who has screen bleeding to call up apple and since no stock at least to have a case number with them.
So that they should be acknowledging that most of their customers are having such problem and they should rectify it in their new batch with no problem.
Some have been replacing a lot of times and still have such problems.
We should not just sit and keep quiet.

The wanted to give me an apple earbud and a iPad stand, just asked for a smart cover leather.
Don't wanna be too fussy la. Just want my iPad be no problem.

I was really angry at them la at one point cause I got transfer many times to different department.

Hehe probably it was my luck or what but I was a bit rude to them, cause the 1st CS that was talking to me acted all don't know and was like there's nothing we can do since your country haven't come out yet, even put me on hold for so long cause I demanded furiously to talk to the people in HR.
No reply, then got transfer to this nice head of CS don't know from where.

He calms me down a bit.
And lucky for me probably he was on my side and he felt pity to me.
To add also I think I was one of the first Malaysian to reported this problem and on my case I can't get a replacement cause no other country near me has officially been out.
So I guess he was feeling my upset cause of had to waited out for weeks for a replacement.
He told me that once I received my new set, and once I return them my old one the guy would personally send me the smart cover, probably he was using his own money or what I don't know.
But if anything I'll report back here.

I tried helping out my sister iPad 2 but to avail I can't get her a free smart cover as well.
Just got a hdvi adapter. smile.gif

Different people get different freebies I guess.

Agreement that I acknowledge if I don't send them the faulty iPad they will charge me the price of the brand new iPad 2 on my credit card smile.gif

Haven't received yet, waiting for shipment.

Just got my order number, took a while cause the agreement they send me I had to let my lawyer sister to look over it first, cannot just simply sign smile.gif
