If shouldn't be an issue or even noticeable when you using it at normal light or daylight. If you use it at a dark or dim light room with a dark colour background showing on your iPad screen, you will notice the light bleeding at certain places at the edge of the iPad. It's been reported earlier after a few days the iPad2 launch in US, Apple is ready to replace these units as well. This is what holds me back from getting an iPad2 at this early stage of batch coz I believe Apple have rectified and solve this problem for the next batch. Just don't feel like unboxing a new iPad 2 and send to the Service Centre to replace a refurbish unit.. ....hati tak sedap le..

Gosh! This is so not cool. Waiting for this Fri like crazy and this issue surface right now! Hope those who is having this problem with their iPad 2 gets a good replacement.

Btw....can i request not to exchange for a refurbished unit when i take to the apple shop to claim the warranty 

Both my 16gb wifi and 32gb 3g are good. Both of which are uk sets tho. Dont know if it matters.

it doesn't matter if it's black or white (MJ song).. mine is black and still got bleeding all around the lcd..

Until you know iPad 2 white is having non light bleeding issue, most probably it's already running out of stock. You'll joining me waiting for the next batch then.

For those who followed my case in another thread, I have an update. I managed to get my ipad 2 replaced again. This time with a completely NEW one with the white box shrink wrapped and all.

At first I was planning for a refund like I said yesterday. I told the sales rep that if I don't get a completely new one then I want a refund. So he went into the staff area and came out about five minutes later with a new ipad 2 still wrapped in box.

So I decided to replace and the best thing is my refund policy is extended another 2 weeks! I still haven't checked for light bleeding yet, probably tonight. If it's still there I have another 2 weeks to repeat the same process. LOL.

So I queued up at Harvey Norman Ikano Power centre at 8.30am this morning. By 10pm there were over 150 people queueing? I was probably the 1st 30 and I only managed to get my hands on my iPad at 1pm. Harvey Norman's service is terrible and at first they forced the customers to buy their bundled accessories or else you can't buy an iPad.

ANyway, I was wondering if anyone got an iPad and have got problems with it? I noticed that I have backlight bleed issues. Anyone else with such a problem? I got the 64GB Wifi version btw.

Do post your experiences here! Does queing up tomorrow (saturday) morning to buy one, be sure to skip harvey norman cause they suck!

ok, today is the day where lots of malaysian are getting their ipad 2...so my question now..do u guys suffer any backlight bleeding? i have 2 units here and both are bleeding....so my question is...should i exchange it tomorrow? or wait? as i know switch does not have any more stock left....exchanging them on tomorrow would not be possible....

mine is iPad 2 32gb Wifi Black, there is a screen bleed near the home button, but barely visible, need to look closely then only notice it I don't mind about it, since I applied the SP on my iPad 2 already, haha

I noticed that the higher brightness, the worse the bleeding is. Mine is quite bad at few area. What level of brightness are you guys using for testing?

Service means replacement or they will open it up to replace the screen? I mean, I can live with that. I do wonder how often we came across a totally black screen.

thats because less people own black units.
