Actually I think the light bleeding is due to the glass not attached properly to the case. Met my friend today, his iPad 2's light bleeding is really horrible. But if you were to put pressure on the nearest frame, the light bleeding actually reduce!

My unit has minor light bleeding, some of the location I can put pressure and the light bleeding goes off! But of course when I release it comes back in...

It's not the glass, that's for sure. You can try pressing your laptop LCD and see if the image is distorted.

Just my 2 cents, cause when I press the frame the light bleeding reduces on my friend's unit (his was quite horrible actually, somewhat like the image shown in first post).

Someone posted this in Apple Discussion, I wonder if anyone could double confirm this if they had received replacement from Apple but haven't ship back the defective unit.

You keep the old one until Apple sends you the new one is what I understand.

Btw, LG and Samsung display..

Seems like the LG is brighter, Samsung produces more color?

Okay so I called up Apple Call Center, and spoke to angmoh customer service. Gotta say they are much better than our local ones!

Anyways, apparently it is a known issue and they mentioned the new stocks would be fine. But I still have to return back to Challenger IT for this. sad.gif

If fresh stocks for May it should be problem free, they fixed it o_O.

Well, I did not post it for light bleed test.

It was posted in Apple Discussion for comparison. Thats why asking people with no bleeding (might be using Samsung panel) to compare. Some of them are saying that LG panel is brighter than Samsung and the Samsung has a tone to their panel.

I called Apple too today and they asked me to refer to HN IPC. Will go there later on and see their response. If fail again, then I will just live with it.

u shud've said HN say they're not doing anything and they asked to contact apple back.

Well, I did said so. I think they are also having different approach. They already confirmed to me that THEY CANT DO ANYTHING TO THE RESELLERS AS APPLE CANT DICTATE THEIR SALES POLICY. They only say that they posted on the bulletin board (She say they all have it... I wonder if HN is included) and escalate it to the highest priority. If HN does not cooperate, then I will have to call them on the spot to settle it. I wonder how true it is.
