LOL. You cannot see anything with the screenshot laaaa - the bleeding is a hardware defect, not a software issue. A screenshot will of course look perfect. Load a pure black photo into your iPad and view it full screen in a dark room, and if you see uneven light "patches" coming from the corners and sides, your unit has a light bleed issue. The way to take a photo and show us if you are still not sure is to take a photo of the ipad in this situation, not a screenshot from inside the iPad software itself.

Added on May 10, 2011, 2:26 amGuys, you cannot accept this crap from Apple.

In other countries, you can replace no questions asked - they take us for a ride here because our consumer protection laws are so lax. But Apple have a reputation to uphold, and part of the deal with their high prices is solid customer and aftersales service.

Do NOT let them give you the runaround. If you have to go to the customer service center and DEMAND to speak to a senior person, do it. In fact, we should organise a group petition and do things formally. If we use people power and go through the official channels, they cannot ignore us. Otherwise we will get screwed around. We DID NOT pay good money for defective units, regardless of how trivial the defects appear to be.

I second this. Many in this country have accustomed themselves with poor customer service of local businesses. We're paying a premium price for premium experiences from Apple, and this is not fair to consumers who have screen bleeding problems.

I would not really call Ipad a premium priced item. If you are buying a Mac or other Apple product, yeah, go for it.

Ipad is competitively priced against their competitors.

You guys never get it, Apple pricing strategy is not only calculated based on the cost of an iPad, but future spendings on its ecosystem.

If you think 16GB is not "premium" enough for you to go for an exchange then so be it, its your iPad anyway.

Like I said, we are paying for premium experience, and we deserve an 1 to 1 exchange if the defective is uncomfortable.

My 64GB WiFi Black is a week 16 unit, had minimal screen bleed issue near the home button which doesn't really bother much.

Same date as mine, also had light leakage. But very minimal as compared to many samples I've seen.

mine facing d same problem, at first there are 2 noticeable spot at the bottom part, as I monitor today I saw the 2 spot is kinda spread to beside of it, leaving some space in between.

I hv call to apple for tis and they log me a case number and get me back to talk to reseller. when I go to reseller they will need to test n hv to leave the unit there 7 -14 days long while waiting for replacement part arrive.

I ask why not hv a 1to 1 xchange instead, the sales staff den ask me call their HQ instead.... like getting merry g round tis time.

my next action will write email to apple, anyone had apple support email address. tks
