Can Himedia play mkv or m2ts native frame rate 23.976 with output native frame rate hmm.gif

My Egreat R200 play native frame rate 23.976 with hdmi setting Auto and 24hz ON but projector display show frame rate 24hz doh.gif

Added on March 25, 2012, 2:46 amMajority mkv or m2ts movies frame rate 23.976fps which is found Realtek base media player unable to output true frame rate.
Just bought Himedia HD900B test with original firmware 1.0.3.8 check projector display info show 24.00hz then revert to old firmware 1.0.1.13 test check projector display info still show 24.00hz cry.gif try Onkyo amp switch off video processor check projector display show info show 23.98hz rclxm9.gif now enjoy movie motion more natural especially on panning scene try on my Samsung TV plasma but display info show 1080p 24hz maybe TV do 3-2 cadence or just round up to 24hz.
Hope this information help Himedia HD900 series user for those who notice with un-natural motion scene or suttering issue.
Hope Himedia engineer add HDMI specific setting 1080p 23.796 next firmware. icon_question.gif

I have finally installed a giga switch behind the router, and here is the speed that shows on the tv when I'm accessing the mkv from my nas via cat5e:

600A -> Giga Switch -> 100M Router

NAS -> Giga switch

user posted image

Any one of you getting a higher Kbps?

Previously, without the Giga switch, all devices are plugged into the 100M Router..the speed was just about 50000+ Kbps/sec .. so now it is virtually double the performance... going to download a bluray mkv to test it out soon..

Life is too short for me. I love to watch movies but can't spend too much hours in front of the idiot box.

Sometimes on PC, I watched movies with increased speed, say 1.5X to 1.7X so that I can finished the movie during lunch-time.

Does any media players has such feature?

I have similar reading. In fact, most of the time it only shows around 70k kbps.
You should have no problem streaming bluray mkv even in 100Mbps switch.
My problem is network streaming 3D BD ISO. Even with a Gigabit switch, the audio jerks, especially for files that is over 35GB. Audio is only good for few seconds after I pause/play the video before it jerks again.
I don't have problem with BD25 ISO. Audio is fine for 40GB+ 3D ISO when I connect external HDD to the USB port. One thing I am certain is the external HDD is definitely slower than the network HDD. I suspect this is due to the hardware limitation. Not sure if anyone else face this problem? Hope a firmware update can help. I have quite a number of BD ISO that I can't watch due to the audio decode jerking. cry.gif .

I have similar problems before with streaming BD ISO. A solution I found is to extract the ISO onto their blu-ray file structures (BDMV folder etc). Since then, I don't have any problem streaming both BDRips for both 25GB or 50GB disks. Now I rip the file structures directly instead of ripping to ISO.

For me, don't find any difference between using the internal HDD and the external HDD on the 900B. Cannot see any difference.
What do you mean by "still buggy"?

Last word of warning...anyone depending on this 600 or 900 to do the torrent work will be dissapointed at last... .. I have read enuf comments abt this. It is not a machine for torrent seeding, full stop.

As per Himedia standard, difference between A and B is B can fit in a HDD while A only works with USB source or thru network file sharing.

Just read the manual carefully. Use the green button on the remote to activate the function. I also overlooked that function previously tongue.gif
