for those who don't mind SD, UKTVNOW is also quite good.

made by same people who did mobdro, i think.

Any chance of new firmware upgrade to Lollipop 5.1 or 6.0 Marsh coming for Q16?

I've got a Q5 issue which I hope someone here has solved before.

After powering up the player, logo loads and then blank.

Previously, after the logo it'll show the icons for File Manager, Photo etc. Now, it's blank.

How can I resolve this?

power down and up again a couple more times.

if same, it will need a total reset, then install latest firmware, reinstall all apps.

hope u know how to do that.

Is there a thread in LYN where I could get the latest firmware?

It's been ages since I did a reset of the device, I've forgotten how to do all this lol

i do not know Q5 but i think it's old and obsolete.

still, the last firmware and the google patch should still exist.

u need to contact yr seller or google to find it with luck.

or contact some other seller who may be kind enough to help you.

Hi-Media HD600A has serve me very well all this years but it not able to decode H265 and I can't view the latest anime I downloaded.

My minimum requirement is Gigabits LAN + decode H265 + reasonable price.

I dont need streaming cost all my video library is in my Synology.

do u need hi10p, 60fps, hdr, 4k, dts:x, ddatmos?

if not and just h265, i think almost all new boxes can do, be it rm200 or rm2k.

just visit the IT malls, lots of them.

can you be more specific about the model? I prefer a himedia player if possible.

himedia at this time, to my knowledge, has Q5pro and Q10pro; both are premium models.

not sure if the older h8 is still available.

all three models can do h265.

i asked if u wanted those other features becos those are premium features, comes with a higher price.

h265 is a common feature for other brands too, nothing exotic.

so, if u ONLY want h265, u may scout around other cheaper brands/models.

Currently i'am using Himedia Q2 Gen3 TV box.
I'am facing a serious issue which is hang on the start up mode.(Display Logo Himedia And YUNOS only.)
During start up mode i try restore everything but still not working at all.
beside that i try load alot of driver try to reinstall again but still failed.
Any Master can help me ?
if can provide the link and step how should i do .
only purchase 2 year then problem come out.

been using h8 octacore 1GB/8GB for a few months without issues. recently my apps start to lag. I only use Kodi and free iptiv app.

for kodi, the video will tend to buffer more often. also every time halfway watching, the video, suddenly will black out and after few minutes it will jump out to the previous menu.

for free iptv app, cant seem to start the app properly. i click on the app and the screen will go black (as if loading) then jump out to main menu. sometimes have to select repeatedly to get it loaded.

already tried clearing cache and freeing some space by uninstalling some unused apps. checked status, seem to have reasonable amount of ram and storage.

is it ok to update my H8 octacore to latest version? currently I select OTA check, it says already with latest version (HMD-1.0.8). But i check on futeko and himedia support page, latest version is HMD-1.1.2. Is the firmware safe to upgrade or are there different firmware for different region? mine came with mangotv launcher.

if apps that stream online hd incl kodi and other iptv start to stutter, it may be due to connectivity issues - broadband unstable, heavy traffic, poor site/links maintenance. free and illegit ones more so.

try with legit ones like netflix or youtube to see if it is the same.

firmware... whether there are multiple versions - yes, best to ask yr seller to avoid problems like that.

i think 1.1.2 is the latest.

Hi everybody, new on this thread. My Q10Pro just arrived today. Plugged everything in and configured the wifi settings. Checked into Google Play and updated a few apps. Content searching is gonna be the trouble here. I don't actually watch much tv and the android box is for the missus. Any recommendations?
