Just bought myself the 900A model over the weekend. And some of my AVI files have an issue. The picture is lagging but the audio and subtitles are okay.

I've got a HD910a which worked fine until today and it's now behaving weird.
At first, it had a problem of being unable to load the screen where you can navigate the file manager and other options. This happened with and without a drive used. What I did next was try to manually reset it. I unplugged the power, took a pin and stuck it into the reset. The player now reaches the screen to navigate, but when I play a video file it becomes a black screen in the less than 3 seconds. What's the solution to resolve this described issue? Thanks. |

QUOTE(Ngto @ Jun 29 2015, 09:02 AM) Could say hang, no picture and audio. But player's fan is still running. Thought flashing the firmware would help. So I got the 1.0.6.3 and flash the player. The new issue is that sometimes when playing a file, message showing "IO error stop playback" displays. When I try to play the file again, after awhile the same message shows again. What's annoying is this message doesn't show up in a consistent period. Sometimes I can get through a video without it and sometimes it'll just show. I don't believe it's my media drive because I don't experience such an error on another player with a different brand. Now I'm just thinking if these players are meant to die after 2 years.. |

QUOTE(Ngto @ Jul 6 2015, 07:23 AM) The very first time it hang, is out of the blue ? You sure you didn't change anything or install anything or update the firmware etc. ? 1) Nope. Didn't install anything before all this happened. Had been working without problems. Are you also saying now after flashing to the 1.0.6.3 fw, it's different problem now? Can play video but sometimes randomly have the IO error? 2) Yup. After flashing, it's a different problem now - random IO error. |

QUOTE(Ngto @ Jul 6 2015, 10:00 AM) Since it's different problem, but at least can play video, so could be FW problem. The current firmware was from Himediatech's website. But I guess no harm reverting to the previous firmware, hopefully it solves all the issues.I suggest you force flash back to the original FW and try again. Those newer Himedia FW have been known to give the I/O error for your model. |

QUOTE(Ngto @ Jul 7 2015, 08:40 AM) The official website FW are the ones which are the most problematic for 910A model. Maybe they sell diff models for their China Market and Intl Market which causes FW problems, not sure. Yea, I was wondering whether the FW had incompatibility as you described. Trust China to not provide proper documentation for an international product.Regarding your original FW problem of Black Screen, it might be related to some MKV movies which were encoded with Header Compression. After you revert to your previous FW, you should test other MKVs which have been known to work before to make sure it is not only some movies. After reverting back to the original FW, it seems like no issues have cropped up. Fingers crossed and hopefully no black screen or other issues occur. |

I've got a Q5 issue which I hope someone here has solved before.
After powering up the player, logo loads and then blank. Previously, after the logo it'll show the icons for File Manager, Photo etc. Now, it's blank. How can I resolve this? |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 22 2017, 10:00 PM) battery weak?! Not the batteries. Because when I press the Power button, it can still switch the player on / off. The only buttons working are:u may want to check with a seller to see if the std remote for Q or H series that hasn't change in 5 yrs will work. this model... >5 yrs old? the casing is very close to q5/q5ii. but realtek chipset, should be good for playback, dtshdma too, i think. old android version... can it still stream well? 1. Power on/off 2. Mute 3. Eject 4. VFD 5. Timer 6. 16:9 7. Bookmark 8. Volume 9. Right key I've contacted ccs221, but not reply so far. This player is still very good as a media player and it's what we primarily use it. I really hope to find a replacement remote, than to discard such a good working player. |

QUOTE(OCMAX @ May 23 2017, 12:28 PM) You can try Cetusplay TV client and remote (Wukong) on your phone device at the moment. You can find them in playstore. 1. Do not own a personal Android device.2. It's interesting. But how does it connect to the HD910A player? 3. Are you using this with the same player I have, or a different model? |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ May 23 2017, 02:23 PM) Those remotes are usually very durable, do not fail easily. Tried that and firmware installation went well. But when I get to screen which shows the Menu Language, Time and 1 more menu, I couldn't navigate because of the remote I think more likely the firmware's corrupted, esp if last firmware update was a long time ago. I would reinstall the final firmware and see it all goes back to normal. And yes, if u primarily use it for media playback, it is good for a long time to come! Looks like I may have to open it apart. |
