which is surprising...i remember them telling me that they charge 1% for transaction fee.

Thanks for sharing especially on Watami, AEON is probably the best card to use for lowest exchange rate without considering the rebates and what not.

I only used my Aeon card coz you highlighted the good exchange rates, so thank you too

sharing is caring, now that you confirm that Watami does enjoy lower exchange rate i will now apply for Watami as it has the rebate advantage over my new aeon CC.

why mastercard currency conversion without IDR - Indonesia currency?

I'm comparing the exchange rate for Maybank2 Amex & Aeon Watami Visa. Let's take transaction on 30/11 for calculation.

Before factor in 5X TP by Maybank2 Amex:

Maybank2 Amex Exchange rate: 116.23 MYR / 3591 yen = 0.0323670287
Aeon Watami Visa Exchange rate: 123.98 MYR / 3960 yen = 0.0313080808


After factor in 5X TP by Maybank2 Amex(Which equivalent to 2% cash back):

Maybank2 Amex Exchange rate: (116.23 * 0.98) MYR / 3591 yen = 0.0317196881
Aeon Watami Visa Exchange rate: 123.98 MYR / 3960 yen = 0.0313080808


So, Aeon Watami Visa the king for oversea spending? Does this only applied to Japanese Yen since Aeon are from Japan?
