^ It's the first properly done dual core android phone with mind blowing Quadrant scores. Other than that it makes calls and does internet browsing like any other phone. Quite future proof though, this phone is.

Do give alternative launchers (like Launcher Pro) a try before you give up on it. TouchWiz is not everyone's favourite UI. In fact I believe it'll achieve speed of light if you install Launcher Pro.

All phone sure have their pros & cons

anyway, most importantly, I really hate a phone which is lag/slow & have bad camera... smile.gif

so far, could you give some comment on the phone speed (smoothness & lag free?), camera, sound, web browsing, battery, and screen???? flex.gif

I think in term of camera, sound, web browsing & screen, it should be better than HTC Incredible S smile.gif

Sorry guys. I'm a HTC Desire HD user. I hope you allow me to ask 2 questions here (coz we are Android user smile.gif ) :

@welwitchia
1. How much you bought it? Original set?
2. Do you think I should upgrade to a dual core phone? Any significant performance/speed improve?

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

Most of us bought ut for RM2.8k at the same shop at SS15 today. I"m the worst person to ask if you switch because im a very new Android user, about 1 month. Have been an iOS user all the time. If you're asking if its slow, then the answer is no. coming from the HTC Incredible S, all i can say is that the SGS II screen is better BUT not by much.
my personal take?i feel the phone has been rushed out. It just doesn't have the polish that i should be expecting from such an expensive device. Every thing from the included ring tones to wallpaper "sucks". Thats all i can say. Am i disappointed? YES.

But ringtones and wallpapers are subjective and most of us do not use built in ringtones/wallpaper anyway so what's the big deal? those reasons are pretty weak to be used as a cons for the phone. i think you are just unhappy because u overpaid for the phone which is supposed to be only in the 2.3-2.4k range.

I don't think this phone is rushed out, if you compare to other dual core phone, it far more better. For example, see optimus 2x, i already visit the
shop to buy but when i test it, i really disappointed, it lag really obvious in optimus 2x stock launcher. blink.gif

at least samsung optimised the phone, for example, if you see from previous prototype galaxy s2, it really worse but now, i can say it one of the top
performance for android phone yet biggrin.gif yes, it not perfect and need some update to fix it flaw, but samsung really do a good job here...

Would you say the Incredible S offers a better user experience than the S2 then, without considering the cost of the phone and the hardware calibre of the phone?

Do give my suggestion of an alternative launcher a thought.

I believe, nothing u say now can change his mind because his judgement has been clouded. He's just digging hard to find fault with the phone. sweat.gif

Oh please, im not a teenager who gets upset over a phone. There are more things in life than a cell phone. To answer your question, the Incredible S UI is superior and is far more usable.

I just wanna add that the screen gets hot but i could be due to the extreme hot weather we've been experiencing.
