QUOTE(benny888 @ Apr 29 2011, 01:32 PM) No need to worry buying phones from Spore and bringing in to Msia. I do it many times ( at least 20 times already for past 3 years ) - the customs never bother about this. If it is just one set - it is never any issue; when ask show receipt and say is personal use. You can even proudly show it. Once I brought in 3 sets ( the other 2 for my friends ) - open the car boot declared to customs - he just wave me through. If I live in West Malaysia, maybe I will drive to Singapore and buy one .. lol This post has been edited by ccm: Apr 29 2011, 01:38 PM |

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ Apr 29 2011, 05:05 PM) If u all want it in a hurry, why dont u just order from expansys??? from my experience ordering and deliver by DHL, they can handle everything for u.yes, u face the risk... but u get it definitely faster then june. Added on April 29, 2011, 5:12 pmanyway whoever is gambling their luck by ordering from clove. should u get ur sgs2 by 10th, do inform us how whether DHL can help us settle the customs?? since their curriers, i believe its they r more accustomed to our kastam's "habit" then they will send right to your doorstep and prompt u a bill..with handling charges.. |

Hi, not sure is this new or already posted..
I ordered mine from UK website, and I just received an email says that their batch of UK set (I9100) doesn't comes with NFC equipped. So if u're going to order your sgs2, and if u need nfc, please consider before buy. QUOTE Hi, Thank you for your email. We have been informed by Samsung that the NFC is not provided with the i9100. Thank you. If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us by replying to this ticket. As always, it is our pleasure to assist in any way possible! for me NFC is nothing, and u can't use it wisely enough in Malaysia. Unless you're from US, google is making up the NFC payment mode with the bankers, and UK, by 2012 UK should be everywhere NFC, heard is bcoz of Olympic.. |

QUOTE(CatDog @ May 3 2011, 03:25 PM) no offense guys but the main reason people/newbie ask stuff that have been answered is all the spam and off topic posts. unless someone reads this thread daily it is very nerve racking to go through 50 pages of chitchat. AGREED with u..for me if i can tell I will answer people normally sometimes I take time to read back it really takes time. Especial when u read back v3,v2,v1 for those which has too many version.. |

QUOTE(alfredtwl @ May 4 2011, 08:26 AM) the phone already with DHL.. successfully or unsuccessfully in your senseis regarding to the package will arrive to my doorstep or no ? Added on May 4, 2011, 9:52 amwhen we import things from overseas, government will charge you duty fee, tax, and bla bla bla.. for me this is necessary, otherwise our country earn what? you will pay tax to LHDN for your PCB too.. if you wait for local original set, they pay tax as well. Just that the price I bought from oversea is their region recommended selling price, or their company market price. Of course local distributors will get their distribution price and sell to dealers with dealers price, and yet the phone has been taxed after all. So when you go to the shop to buy, normally people will think this is the safest way. for me, I'm not aiming for the cheapest deal, but I just want to get my phone as early as possible This post has been edited by ccm: May 4 2011, 09:52 AM |

QUOTE(brotan @ May 4 2011, 10:40 AM) ship to Singapore, the courier charges not much different compare ship to Malaysia. Then when arrived Singapore, you have to pay GST and maybe duty fee (i'm not sure about duty fee but GST is a must) then only you bring in to Malaysia. When you ship from Singapore as a gift, you have to repack it.. if you have no luck, custom will still hold your phone and require you to apply the Sirim.. unless you ask your fren from Singapore to bring in to Malaysia personally..not by any courier company. Added on May 4, 2011, 11:24 amI got experienced a company from Singapore sending some samples for me. And those samples are F.O.C. they packed in 1 box.. when arrived here I have to pay tax.. and then another story from DHL agent told me, he has a client left a phone in HK hotel. The hotel staff use DHL to courier back the phone to the owner, arrived Malaysia Custom hold the phone.. and just happened his phone is an AP set and he has to pay SIRIM for custom..eventually he didn't want the phone he just ask for the SIM card only.. QUOTE(brotan @ May 4 2011, 11:49 AM) actually he was thinking of asking his friend to repack in UK. since UK have to pay VAT and i assume Spore no tax, you can save some tax here I mean the shipping cost from UK to Malaysia and UK to Singapore should be not much different..if UK and Spore tax almost the same, of course better send from UK directly (with the repack option) then, if Singapore no tax, but still have to pay for GST.. |

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ May 4 2011, 09:11 PM) then maybe u will see quad-core cpu powered smartphone..and u might want to wait..then u might want to wait for iphone 6 Added on May 5, 2011, 12:29 am QUOTE(benny888 @ May 4 2011, 10:15 PM) Of course - why buy Android and use original rom even if it is good ; the fun is flashing and trying out the roms. If I do not wish to do such, might as well buy iphone. All my Androids are flash in day one if root and rom available - rarely goes beyond one day usage on stock rom if alternatives available Like +1yea..ANdroid is fun with custom rom, custom launcher, custom kernel, custom theme..and more.. those who switched to here from iOS really want to try these out This post has been edited by ccm: May 5 2011, 12:29 AM |
