Well iirc, piracy talk is frowned upon anyway, so nah, don't think I'm being harsh. Besides, to ensure a healthy developer environment, piracy has to be discouraged.

Or maybe it's just my lack of sleep getting me cranky shocking.gif

Haha, I buy CD's and then rip into lossless formats. I'm not trying to take the moral high ground here. It's just that a lot of these developers are independents who pour a lot of their own money and hard work into developing these apps. A lot of them are only 1-5 dollars anyway, so why not show a bit of love? smile.gif

And the tone from before is because I'm under the impression that piracy talk is not allowed. If I'm wrong, then I stand corrected.

Anyway off topic, back to more SGS 2 goodness! biggrin.gif

Don need root (JB is iphone term) to get paid apps for free. Price of one app doesn't cost you so much isn't it.
Anybody here know what radio app that I can listen to Hitz.fm?
*

Try finding the app called tune in radio, its free in the market, plus its got an extensive list of radio stations around the world, I use that app to listen to power 98.

Anyway, im still giving the swtpe keyboard.a go before I totally declare it not suitable formy daily uaage.

I also have to add.the frustration of typing on lowyat forum, the screen keeps jumping,.i wished.samsung had some curser to edit words with pin point precision...
When in landscape mode, its useless, I cant see what im typing.. The screen jumps too frequent in lowyat..

Again, I really want to emphasise the browsing experience on this phone. Heavy flash webpages doesn't slow the phone at all, it feels like im browsing google search page lol....

this phone really does close the gaps between phone and tablets browsing experience. Yes, though it does come in frustration when the pages load in mobile mode, you can set the page as yr favs when the page is in desktop mode.
That is the only complain for browser.

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ May 8 2011, 09:50 PM)

Lets start off with the boot time and shut down time.
The Samsung Galaxy S II takes 12 seconds on average to totally shut down. To completely boot it back up, it takes 12 again on average.
Then, it takes 10 seconds to completely do all the memory reading and scanning.

From there, we enter the homescreen. Now im greeted with a hell load of heavy widgets, such as weather syncing, ap news, email, skype, and such, with a background live wallpaper. No lag is experienced when navigating from one page to another.

*
woah .. this makes me wanna throw my arc away .. damn it took few minute to boot up ... rclxub.gif
