kies is region specific. i mention many times already. u want kies fully functionsl in updating buy local msian set

guys, i need your advice on this

This morning im updating my tab to get the latest Gingerbread 2.3 via Kies.
But, at 85% downloading stage, i saw an error message to say that the usb connection is faulty. Then, now the kies downloading windows just stay at 0%. But, my tab shows "Downloading.. Do not turn off target"
What shud i do? remove the connection and start again? would it brick my tab then? Please advice.. thanks in advance..

nevermind, i already turn off my tab and just pulled the usb. nothing happened. now, trying to downloading the firmware again.

One quick question....any way i can change this ? make it malaysiannnn Any advice other than manually flashing it from firmware i can download from samfirmware ?

can yr tab restart thw rom?
i mean can go to normal bootup.

yeah.. second time also download failed right in the middle of it. then, the download window just stays at 0%.. not moving. i guess the problem is with Kies.

i just press and hold the power button.. then, unplugged the usb cable.. then turn on my tab. everything is ok. maybe because it does not starting to install the firmware yet.. i called Samsung CS. They also said that Kies is problematic.

The gingerbread version update on kies is what country version ??

i think u should read about what they said.. for me, as long as u dont install from 3rd party software.. your android is safe..

Make sure the DXJK2 is from the 4shared (from xda-developers) link the post, NOT from samfirmware.com.

Anyone come across oc 2.0.1 having very hard time to post in lyn? Previous on oc 2.0 n rc gold is ok, i did another fresh install last two day. . . . . now having very hard time to post in lyn n fb too. . .

this problems exists even with stock jpd. I'm now using"thumb keyboard" --think it works best for lowyat.

@ferchang :Think the problem it's either as stated by everydayppl or you didn't use the bootloader patch on KM2 before flashing jk2

benny...how would KIES knows that our Tab from what region? via firmware or hardware?

me still ok..can post FB and LYN without problems...

previously i having no problem (less problem), i just can't see but cursor move very smooth, easy to navigate ...... but now, the cursor jump here and there .... shxt time


my cute little BT phone (english version arrived), is smaller then previous version and come with english (pay almost double for smaller size and english version) , will try to do simple review tonight (now charging)

short review:
1.English.
2.It come with 3.5mm jack for earphone.
3. Standard USB charger.
(i fall in love with it now, can't wait till full charge )

wanted to get the Tab in Sunway Digi center but was informed no stock for the last 2 months!!
then went to the specialized shop also no stock and was told the same thing...!!
any idea LY DG specialize shop got stock or not?

Some of us just get it from samsung authorized dealer...

just finish update to new gingerbread..but i cant root the device back using the oneclick..anyone can help?

Yeps. That's how I finally rooted my Kies updated gingerbread. Anyone having problems rooting gingerbread should try the link...
