i bought a carbon fiber (look) sticker for tab to cover side, top and back, it work (i think so)

help me..my tab not locking the satelite while using gps..can't use it at all..4 ur information i already installed papago x5, sygic...but nothing happened..someone help me..

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has just arrived in our office and, boy, do we have some news for you. It turns out that the Honeycomb slate takes on from where its 7” predecessor left off, and brings native telephony capabilities to an even larger form factor.

Yeap, we are talking regular GSM network phone calls and even some video-calls if you wish. There’s no dialer on board, but you can either get a 3rd party app from the market (as we did), or use your contacts list for initiating calls.

Much like with the 7” Galaxy Tab, you can either use the built-in microphone and speakerphones, a handsfree plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack, or a Bluetooth handsfree for calling. Pretty cool, eh?

But of course telephony is not why people would go for the Galaxy Tab 8.9. The reason why people would probably choose the ultra-slim tablet is the great mix of portability and functionality that it offers. Despite being as powerful as its larger competitors, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 comes in a shell that’s way more portable and easier to handle (due to the reduced weight and unbelievably slim waistline).

Anyway we shouldn’t be getting ahead of ourselves here. We’ll see if the Galaxy Tab 8.9 will manage to live up to the high expectations when the review is created. In the meantime, feel free to check out how it compares to its larger brother and the iPad 2 on paper.

best practice ask seller open official invoice, with imei + selling prices + status there this is Malaysia Samsung SME unit, remember + ask them to chop with company name, seller name + contact (best call it on the spot) .....
see to many those con sales person in BB and lowyat, if they deny any of it, then walk away ..

just ask them sign up warranty for u on the spot via samsung e warranty ....

hi not sure if this is the correct place, any idea where or is't already available samsung galaxy tab 10.1? looking for tablet now and this among the item i'm after beside BB PlayBook and IPAD 2....

Google delays Android 3.1 until August. Halts Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 shipments till then

Bad news for Android fans waiting to get the latest Honeycomb tablet running 3.1 version of OS. Android 3.1 has problems and Google decided to delay it’s launch until August “for most countries”.

And it gets worse. The tablets that were supposed to ship with Android 3.1 – Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 – have been delayed until then too.

For now it’s still a rumor. But it comes from a pretty reliable source – Mobile-Review.com’s Eldar Murtazin – who usually gets things right, especially this close to the device launch. So I’m pretty sure we won’t be seeing  Android 3.1 tablets here in Europe until August.

Poor Samsung. With Galaxy line they have been a key part of the Android success story from the second half of 2010. They made the first “official” Android tablet, they even partnered with big G to make the second official Google Phone – Nexus S, they gave 5000 Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets away at Google I/O event. They have jumped through every hoop Google asked them to and shipped more Android devices then anyone else. Heck – they are kicking iPhone’s arse with Android flagship in some major markets.

And then they get screwed by Google on a major product launch in big way. For the second time in less then a year!

Google first screwed Samsung with the launch Galaxy S smartphone last June. At the time the search giant was very worried that it’s major Android partners were replacing Google’s location technology with the solution provided by a small location service provider called Skyhook. Google first learned about it in April, when Motorola decided to ship it’s next Droid with Skyhook solution. Google then refused to certify Motorola’s Droid 2 as Android compatible device until Motorola removed Skyhook’s location technology. Motorola complied, delaying it’s Droid 2 launch and then shipping it with Google’s location solution which they perceived to be inferior to Skyhook’s. Only to learn that Google allowed Samsung to start shipping it’s Galaxy S handset with the same Skyhook technology that Google now said is not Android compatible.

When Motorola complained, Google ordered Samsung to halt all the shipments of Galaxy S with Skyhook’s tech. Even with tens of thousand’s of Galaxies already sold or on the way to carrier customers. And Samsung had no other choice but to comply, stop all Galaxy S shipments and hastily replace Skyhook with Google’s location provider. Remember all the GPS/location problems Galaxy S had last summer? Yep – most likely it was about that.

Here we go again. With the pre-order options and promised mid-June shipping dates popping up around the world, I’d say thousands of Samsung Galaxy Tabs are en route to the carriers and distributors. And now they will have to sit in the warehouses for a couple of months, until Google fixes whatever last minute bug they found in Android 3.1.

In the meantime, potential customers will keep snapping HTC Flyers, Motorola Xooms and Asus transformers with even buggier Android 3.0 OS.

I don’t think Samsung is happy today.

i had postpaid celcom exec 50.. used already for 3 yrs... i also have my maxis line as my primary number (ported from celcom to maxis)... so when my celcom henfon low battery and charged at home, i set it to divert all calls from my celcom to my maxis... end of the month receive a bill saying my celcom line is calling my maxis line and charge as per time... since then i just stop diverting and lastly terminate my celcom line due to low usage last month and tell the ppl who call me using my celcom line to call my maxis line.

Hello all tab users, I'm planning to buy a Galaxy Tab. Still unsure if I want to buy first or second hand (depends on budget).

Just want to know, if i do buy a galaxy tab second hand, are there any particular things i should check? (for example, when buying iPhone gotta check home button and stuff).

i'm using the tab with overcome as my daily device and as a phone and so far it's been great ... try it if/when you have the time .. no regrets

i have planning to get a tab from digi, with 24 months subscription. is it a wise decision? anyway, im from ipoh, hope i'd get strong signal in here.

anyway, i wanted to ask any digi user/anyone if the 'wifi hotspot' feature is still available if i subscribe plan from digi? no any locked feature whatsoever?
