What about performance??

overall i can say hermes quite fast.
since heremes already rooted, so can install voltage control
i downgrade my clock speed to 800mhz from 1 ghz
so can save more battery time

after researching odin, just realize i need to be in download mode.. ><

no ppl mention.. i tried many method before research.. fail.. scare me..

now my tab restoring to stock.. thanks for ur info dave..

Any reviews/comparison between FROYO vs GINGERBREAD after upgrade?

Hope GINGERBREAD doesn't burden the hardware and slow down everything?

The solutionis on the 1st page of this thread.Anyway,if you haven't got it already,switch off tab by pressinng and holding power button. Press and hold volume down and power button until you see samsung logo. You are niw in download mode even thiugh you have the same pc logo. Reflash with odin km2
Dxkm2 has signed bootloaders which is why yiu have to root and install bootloader patch app and run it to make your tab safe to flash jk2.
What to do. We learn s we go.The other thing-dont do this kind of thing late at night since tired and can't think straight. Also no one can help since all asleep.

Also flash is better.Scrolling in ui is smoother.As for the hardware,with the specs the tab has,,it should run anything. It's always about marketing- getting consumers to buy new phones/tablets.

i've seen many unsuccessful person wrong doing when updating their own SGT.. hereby, i suggest if anyone that have his or her own pleasures time do their explanations with pictures... because pics would tell you more clearly on such occasions or problems... hope this help among noobs like me as well..

happy with my hermes rite now...no more issues...

officially update to gingerbread 2.3.3

no, my unit still will auto alert me when i got company email or gmail.

have a question.
if i root my tab current 2.3.3 using odin 1.7 (since superoneclick is not functioning)
will it able to receive any update (like usual)form kies?seem like the step using odin are a bit complicated then superoneclick..so been thinking twice since reading how to root the gingerbread.any side effect?or it just root the device nothing else..sorry if a noob here

did u follow the whole process?? this *#272*imei# will auto appear a screen have lots of code, one of it is xme then install..

imei- is only the bold words only... 123456789/006 by at phone *#06#

b) Go to Phone on tab, key in code : *#272*your device IMEI#
Change CSE code from KOR (korea) to XME (M'sia). The Tab will reboot into recovery then auto reboot into the default start menu/set up


c) Now flash DXJK2 using Odin. Rom here:http://www.4shared.com/file/-87CbOF3/P1000DXJK2.html?
Use pit and put the entire tar file into PDA.


d) Connect to Kies, now rom detected as CSC - XME and xme gingerbread offered as update. Well. you know the rest.

did you flash the DXJK2 to get back to M'sia XME.

after trial and error, somehow i manage to flash it into DXJK2 now..
horrible night yesterday...

edits: but then when i connect into kies, my kies say that : this device cannot be updated
