QUOTE(MX510 @ May 27 2011, 09:56 PM) Well explained :-) i got 2 lines at home with 4 Mps and each of them capped at 5120kbps each so i use the Linksys RV042 load balancer to combine them . The speed in the screenshot is based on ftp connections that connected on parallel connections on 2 WAN ip . That is why i can reach max out 1 MB/sec which is equall for 8 to 10 Mbps . I could finish 4.5 GB in 1 hour . Using 2 x 4 Mbps is much cheaper RM 280 compare using Biz10 which is RM 599 . It's unlimited download bro we don't do much upload :-) last using 4*4mb Attached thumbnail(s) |

That's if you're thinking of bonding a few 4mbps line.
If you're in Thailand, how about bonding a few 12mbps or 16mbps line together? Or even Singapore where you bond multiple 100mbps lines together? http://www.3bb.co.th/product/adsl/select.php A 12mbps ADSL2+ line over there cost the same as Unifi VIP5 over here. RM149/month. RM300 could get you a 24mbps steady line. Ask MX510, he's into this sort of downloads via torrent flux and VPN. He'll tell you upload won't really matter much. Bond 2 or even 3 of such line and you get a 2mbps upload speed for your parallel uploads. |

Guys... I'm subscribing to 1Mbps but suprisingly my modem said I got 512/128 only. It's abnormal, I phoned their 100 and they hanged up my phone but nothing really changed.
BTW my line attenuation is 60db for downstream, is it too high? Should I go for 4mbps BB deal? |

Awesome TM net, I complained about the slow Download/Upload speed to their hotline and made a case but a few days after I found that my download attenuation dropped to 2048 at the status page.

QUOTE(blackdollie @ May 29 2011, 04:15 PM) After the beach hanged up I knew my modem is reset but nothing improved. So today I phoned again a guy answered, he understood my problem and said my case will be hand over to Port Dept? Then he told me there might be technicians coming to check the lines or whatever. |

Guys need some advise...
I have a really weird situation.. I am in the process of upgrading my line to 4mbps. Called tm and they said my area can support 4mbps. So they send the technician over to my house.. he tested and say my line is having big issue SNR downstream is 6db while upstream is 28db. Attenuation 44 Max kbps is ~3200kbps only even though the technician said he has opened up to 5mbps for me at the beginning he said could be my house parallel phone lines or looping issue.. so i called tm next day and have them cut and drag a direct line straight from outside to my modem. (this should guarantee best quality right?) UNFORTUNATELY the issue didn't improve a bit... my downstream SNR is still 6db only... any suggestions what i should do ? what could be the potential problem? the exchange side ? i ran out of ideas.. |

QUOTE(laguna1811 @ May 31 2011, 10:33 PM) speed now is really bad... get only 1mbps+- Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I'm visiting my mom's house in J.B right now (I live in Singapore), her 4mbps connection feels like half the usual speed ... downloads speeds are only around 200kb/s (max used to be around 550+ the last time I was here). I'm also getting the 175.145 ip range, btw.the most i can get is also 3.xmbps although i see my speed is being capped at 5mbps... i keep getting 175.145 ip range is that normal for 4mb package? Maybe it's the usual school-holiday thing? They'll probably cap speeds during the 8pm - 2am period for the next couple of weeks, until the kids go back to school ..... just my guess.
