finally able to upgrade back to 4mbps coolunipack. Weird thing is the TM system show no port but she still can proceed with installation. Zzzzzz

Hi, I just upgraded my streamyx account to 4MB before raya. But there is a strange problem after I watch / download a HD movie (around 1.5GB) the speed becomes very very slow (around 384KB/s for download) when browsing. I have to disconnect and reconnect then only the speed will go back normal (around 4MB/s).

Any idea?

normal lah noob streamyx .... already complain 1 year also same..... er few day.
last time my internet keep dc, complain 3-4 month only fix
then now no dc but the speed always slow down when night.......complain but cannot fix only can fast for few day, then will slow again


tips: restart modem until get 218 ip fast at my area..... , some forumer also say 60ip is good

the got special strategic when SKMM come ..... you internet speed will become very fast for few day when SKMM investigates then slow back again after investigate found that speed no problem ....

always get at night... need restart modem to reset IP... if not only get 1-2 MB...

i assume that some area 4 mb port are little, cause they wan save money lazy update the infrastructure at particular area....when you complain to them or SKMM then they will assign the good IP for you and phone you tell the lined is vey fast for few day to write the complain/service report , the connection slow back again after finish invertigate by skmm or "good report" have write at they system. f

then u mar report again lar ... until they can give me better speed

i have just upgraded my streamyx unipack from RM68 1mbps to RM88 1mbps but how come my download speed still the same?

just upgraded today, as in the technician just came?
if yes, then allow 24 hours?

otherwise, don't worry...just call the technician...don't waste your time call 100 number because within 14 days the streamyx technician come to your place to do upgrade...you still have to call back the same technician..

you should receive a blue form..and contact number there...

hey anyone using the grad pack? 4mbps for rm130.

1) currently using 1mbps streamyx. can i upgrade?
2) how long does it take to upgrade?
3) and if once graduate can continue using at that speed and price?
4) and also from the time register to the contractor coming will the internet and telephone line still be working?
or will they cut first?

1. Yes if u r using 1mb grad pack
2. Normally 3 -7 working days after registration they will come to configure the setting for u

i never get that 218 ip range anymore for almost a year already.

i'm using 218 ip all the time.. but speedtest only get 200kbps.. WTH? report two times already.. donno what they done at first report.. said reset port already by still the same.. hampeh...

guys wats the best stable modem to use..my linksys wrt54gl (DDWRT firmware) got struck by lightning and now i bought linksys all in one x2000 after a month using it the modem really hangs allot and need to restart it..which router would u guys recomend me?

plannning to upgrade Unifi soon , once it is available in my area. F*ck you TM! Fedup with their ADSL services already . I think they no longer want to support ADSL ..

I've been on the RM88 4mb unipack plan.
Now the 24 month contract is ending.
I heard that we can continue with it.

Should I continue with this or go on and install my RM118 10mb Maxis plan?

I'm really satisfied with this 4mb.
It's more than enough for me as I only use internet for work.
I hardly download and dont play games at all.
It's really stable. Never give me any headache.

Then when I look over at the Unifi or Maxis thread, there seems to be a lot of problems.

Don't know what to do.
Maxis installer will come in mid September.
I dont need IPTV.
I still can cancel it but Im still on the fence.
Is it worth it to pay RM30 extra for a 6mb more speed?
But then get a potential headache..

I'm really satisfied with this 4mb.

why change?
