Http proxy for browsers : yes.but most other apps requiring internet like facebook won't work.
And this is unique for samsung phones.

it means networks such as college wifi which uses proxy will not work using samsung??

Only samsung froyo phones can have built in http proxy for browsers such as the default browser and dolphin.

however, other proxy protocols such as socks or ftp or anything else won't work.
also most apps that connect to the internet somehow cannot recognize the proxy or use some funny protocol, so it wont work also.

i checked out a few motorola devices as well as the sony e arc, all dont even have proxy support.

i see. it means still can use the wifi for normal browsing. but the wifi wont work with most apps.

i bought cover sga at lowyat.. if im not mistaken rm35 at level 2.. u need to round2 and keep searching it coz not many shop sell the covers n sga still new in the market.. so it takes time to having variety of cover. if iphone 4 cover fits, i also want to buy.. iphone 4 cover very cool.. it is can fit??

Why?

Only some Aces got SOD. Not all. It depends on luck or the apps you install. I'm sure future firmware updates will solve this issue

Anyone using Garmin GPS android 2.x with their SGA or is everyone using Papago X5.

Not for me. Seems like your case is pretty rare bro. First time I've heard someone saying problems with their audio jack

Using Papago X5 Works like a charm. Although sometimes getting a lock on the satellite can be quite slow. ( can be solved with applications that help with satellite locking i guess.)

I used to use GPSFix last time. Works well for me

I heard there's one more app called GPS Aids V2. It works for samsung galaxy S series, and requires root access. You might wanna give it a try I'm not sure if it'll work on ace though. Good luck !

just want to share something here.

How to use only 3G and HSDPA connection on Samsung Galaxy ace.
This can ensure that you use only 3G and not GSM
1. Hit the dialer
2.*#2263#
3.Select number 2. (WCDMA band preference)
4. Select number 6.(WCDMA ALL)
5. Press Back button

Thats all, to revert to normal mode. Just select the Automatic option
