Guys, after I use this method, typing *#*#526#*#* until today I don't get SOD anymore...
I'm not sure if it is true...it seems this method is to reinstall the WIFI driver...and by doing so, it could help
to eliminate the SOD problem. No need to downgrade to older firmware like KA6 or whatever.

Second thing, I'm using Papago X5 and recently I went to Johor from KL. So I try to use
the GPS and set the destination in Johor. You know what...the Papago cannot lock in the Satelite
until I also already reach the destination, the fellow is still searching for Satelites....WTK!!

But it didn't happen while in KL town. Very fast to lock in satelite...
I wonder why why...sigh!

Please advise me...thanks
*
Funny, i got an SOD about 2 hrs after i mistakenly typed the *#*#526#*#* code. Prior to that I was on 130hrs uptime.

use an app called gps status to lock your position before start papago. also you need to be stationary while its searching. while moving, it'll take almost forever.

haha... sry for my poor english.
wat i trying to ask is: a rooted SGA could be unrooted by jz updating firmware (or master reset the phone)?
because i heard some ppl said even they updated their rooted SGA firmware, they are still not unrooted.

Update firmware = yes; factory reset = nope

Hi,
I just got SGA yesterday and testing it since. Now i didn't have data plan but gonna get by next week (need to wait contract over). So far no SOD and not root the phone yet.

I have encounter 1 problem so far, I been using wireless but i have disable it when not using, so 2day i have connect at:
- my home using WPA encryption
- old town no encryption
- then at hailam kopitiam WEP

but when i on it at the hailam, the wifi show the message Wi-Fi Error. But it is ok when i restart it.

Did any1 kena this case?

The wifi error case is common among SGA users.
Seems to be caused by a driver problem though.

When you get the error ,

type in *#*#526#*#*

Wait till the driver reloads and everything should be fine biggrin.gif

edit : changed the code to *#*#526#*#*

So you think Samsung CEO lets millions of Samsung users have his email address and sends him complain email like they send to Customer Service?
