Yes, that is a sensor which turns off the display when you bring the phone near to your ears (to avoid accidental press on the screen).

Battery report on my 9810. 1 hour or so of active usage and the phone is down to 55% at 2pm (left charger at 7am).

Need to hunt for an extended capacity batt. Anyone care to share his/her experience with Sun Global's 1800/1850mah batteries on their previous BB models?

Thanks. Got my 9810 already and also met the very nice Brightstar channel manager face to face. First 9810 had hairline scratches and he called his office to bring a 2nd unit to my friend's shop. 2nd unit all good. smile.gif

Anyone interested in soon to come replacement unit of 9900?  whistling.gif  whistling.gif

Always good with Brightstar, they have been very reasonable with their services

Oh, forgot to mention that earlier. Full time 3G+2G mode, not the 2G-only mode. 9810 has a bigger screen so I am finding myself doing a bit more of web browsing than on the 9900 before - both screens are the same resolution I know but the extra .4 inches seem to make a difference smile.gif

Need to go to Device & status information via the setting and type BUYR. Not sure if it is the same with OS7.

What phone are you using? If BB 9900, then it already comes with OS7.

Nope, I used DM's loader.exe to wipe the phone before loading the leaked OS (via loader.exe /nojvm command).

BTW, I think the 9810's battery life is a wee bit better than my 9900, but can't say for sure, didn't use the 9810 heavily today other than a bit of chatting and email.

1.5 hours of active usage today from 9.5 hours of uptime, battery is 52%..

Yes, full time 3G. But then again, I will be accessing 3 email accounts via push tomorrow onwards so I don't know how much more power my new setup will suck.

Also, my total usage today was a bit light. My usual usage is more than 2 hours, and sometimes exceeds 4 hours biggrin.gif
