Hi! Great news!!

My Beyond PVR oledi installed & working fine earlier this afternoon!
Installer took only abt 30 mins to change dish, LNB c/w dual cables, PVR unit AND On-the-Spot Activation!

Moreover, he took the trouble to run thru main features if the PVR c/w Demos on Rec, etc.

Now enjoying Super Pack 3 c/w Rec Services @RM155 + 6% Govt Tax!

ps. BTW all other rooms can also view both HD & SD prgs...even on CRTs! This is possible via an AV Receiver & Transmission Unit.

Added on July 21, 2011, 9:33 pmpps. Previously was with only SD reception of Dynasty & Gold packages with 2 mini packages and paying RM108.90 + 6% Govt Tax.
So for only RM46.10 + 6% Govt Tax, there is now Sports, Movies, upgrade fr Gold to Emperor Package, 1 xtra mini package AND relevant HD channels c/w FOC recording services!!

Worth it? Of course!!

MNC Business and ONE (Malay) to provide Malay viewers with greater selection of content
Singapore, 20 July 2011 – To augment its content offering for StarHub TV viewers, especially for the Malay audience, StarHub is expanding its line-up of channels to include MNC Business and ONE (Malay). Starting 22 July 2011, Malay viewers can enjoy an even greater selection of content available on MNC Business and ONE (Malay).

MNC Business
MNC Business (StarHub TV Channel 121) is a 24-hour channel that offers the latest business and financial news and in-depth reports on various economic issues in Bahasa Indonesia. Viewers will be able to learn more about the business climate and investment opportunities in Indonesia through up-to-date reports and news features available on the channel. Programmes on MNC Business are delivered by the same team at MNC News Center that produces news programmes for RCTI, and cater specially to the local and Indonesian business community who has interest in the Indonesian market and business relations between the two countries.

MNC Business will be packaged together with MNC International (StarHub TV Channel 122) to form the new MNC Indonesian Pack which will be placed under StarHub TV’s Asia Add-on Group. The MNC Indonesian Pack will be priced at $8.56 per month [1]. Existing MNC International customers will enjoy greater value and access content on MNC Business at no additional charge.

ONE (Malay)
ONE (Malay) (StarHub TV Channel 124) is a mirror service of ONE (StarHub TV Channel 823) which is a 24-hour channel showcasing first-run and exclusive SBS dramas as recent as three to five weeks from the premiere in Korea; variety shows with top Korean celebrities, and popular Korean concerts and music shows. Launched to cater to the growing interest in Korean content especially among the young Malay community, ONE (Malay) will offer viewers subtitles in Bahasa Melayu for all programmes, with dual sound in Korean and Bahasa Melayu available for selected shows.

ONE (Malay) will be bundled with Sensasi (StarHub TV Channel 123) as the new ONE Sensation Pack under StarHub TV’s Asia Add-on Group, and viewers can enjoy both channels at $6.42 per month. Existing Sensasi customers can access ONE (Malay) at no additional charge.

ONE (Malay) SD 4:3 ke?

Not HD that's for sure.....could be SD 16:9, similar to ONE SD Mandarin that is on the platform.

Makes sense for Sony Networks Singapore to generate revenue by using the same supplied feed to Astro.

AXN got HD, AXN Beyond got HD, so why is SET taking time to take Animax to SD (widescreen) or HD?

How do I go thru my selection of Favorites? Hv oledi marked those Channels 2b my Favorites BUT pressing Fav button on remote does NOT do anything!

Pls somebody help...?? TQ very much!

This favourite button is not as good as the old system.

You must do the following steps

1. Press OK button

2. When the screen at bottom show the channel description, press favourite button

It will only go forward and NO backwards (unlike the old system)

If bottom screen disappear, press OK again. (really stupid design)

Yup, not as good as old white / red "star (*)" symbol appearing & simple matter of moving thru all fav ch either way! Worst of all, NO guide at all in manual!

The saddest thing compared to earlier ones ,in the event u enter a wrong channel number say 833 the older one wld go to the nearest channel but this silly one acts smart by displaying no such channel.Imagine the nuisance for old folks who hv to memorise every channel number!!

Let's hope that lowyat.net ASTRO customer service manager (forgot what his name) reads all the complaints here and go back to the OLD design where we can go forward or backward by just pressing ONE button instead of TWO buttons.

If i take the SP packages, can we use any HDD for recording? or just the WD HDD?

And how the hell i gonna record? hmm...

Yah, I remember him too,looks like we hv lost him,no sign of him around,helpfull guy though!

Yalo. The HDD itself is already RM2xx

And for the PVR is only RM150...and HDD is 500GB

i hope they enable this feature again with the longer delay when enter the channel number (so the elderly like my mom doesn't have to rush to enter the correct number b4 the 'no channel found' appear). Pity to her coz she so used to the old decoder which is easy to navigate her fav channels. She keep complaining to me "astro baru ni susah la".

suggest to write in to astro (from website) and the more complaint they have, they would look at releasing a new firmware for it
