to do recording:
either buy external USB hard drive and hook up to byond box to record video, need to be western digital 320 GB specific model, check astro website

or upgrade to byond PVR for a promotional price of RM150, byond PVR includes internal 500GB hard drive

i think better take pvr and pay rm150....later estro put it at rm 300 then people will say so expensive la, itu la, ini la...all the parliment strory and so on! So, they already give option on promo..then sure the price up...business maa....!

Hey, anyone that already change to Beyond HD PVR? Do you need to input 2 cables from the satellite to the decoder? The technician told my sister (I was not at home when he came) need to input 2 cables for new decoder, and if not, then i will need to buy a device from Astro (300+), if i want to use back my old cable (only 1 cable). Got such thing 1 meh? And also they will not use casing for the cables installation, is that truth?

Yes! the device their offer to you is call Stacker De-Stacker & you still can use back your old cable without add another cable for the PVR decoder.

But sadly in my area, the installer don't know have this device... & no choice I have to install another cable to my PVR decoder

Huh? so it is a must to use 2 cables lar for PVR? how about normal Beyond decoder? Btw, it costs more than RM300 for the stacker de-stacker that you were talking about...

why do u want to use single cable only? just wanna know if there is a good reason to use single cable

i'm new astro subscriber and just got my beyond pvr installed last saturday. The pvr will need 2 cable. I asked the installer to drill a hole on my wall at bedroom that go through directly to my decoder and tv cabinet at hall. Manage to keep my hall from any exposed cable

Very Ugly to install another cable, my existing cable already builtin wall, if install another new cable, the astro technician only will pakul on the wall... without casing, just want to know if normal Beyond only need 1 cable, then i might consider just to get the normal Beyond without PVR.

now 14days already i havent arrived pvr to much late
when i get PVR but i want 2 cables satelite 2 LNB if they use my old cable without 2 cables that very bad
that i have worry coz i read thead people say PVR 1 cable only havent installed another cable two cable with satelite 2 LNB

You may call 1300823838 to get the Astro Installer assigned to arrange the installation date and time.

LOL even Atsto channels are not in HD yet, RTM channels should take more time, haha.
Btw, nowadays still got ppl watching RTM ? (Those with Astro, I doubt they still watch RTM channels, lol)

RTM already in HD la. haha. they have started HD test since 2008 lol.

Since Unifi HD channel got Nat Geo Adventure HD, it'll be wise for Astro to take Nat Geo Wild HD for future HD channel. Also, when will Media Prima channel looking as good as TV1 & TV2 PQ?
