i am currently a user of u mobiles rm28/mth prepaid internet plan.
the problem with my u mobile is it tend to say that i am roaming.
thus, i have to set roaming on in my phone in order to start surfing. and at roaming, the internet speed is super, hyper, ultra slow.
the phone in question is an sgs2. i even resetted all settings and still face this roamiing problem. am considering to return to maxis or not now.

your problem is domestic roaming (not international roaming), which is roaming on celcom network. FYI, UM has got no 2G network. Once you out from UM3G network, you will roam on celcom 2G network, that's why the speed is slow. If your can't stand with EDGE/GPRS speed, it is advisable to change to other telco smile.gif

Hi all
I'm interested on 28/mth package but I couldn't see RM28 amount in reload options... The nearest is RM30...
If I reload RM30 what happen to the RM2 ?
Will use above plan for browsing only, no call or sms will be made...

the RM28/mth internet is a subscription and is separate from topping up

just make sure your credit is at least RM28 before you subscribe and after that before the service auto renews each month

so you can use all your credit on the internet but you will have to accumulate some baki along the way

Yes. Based on the roaming agreement between UM and celcom, celcom allows UM users to roam on their 2G (GPRS/EDGE) network only. cry.gif

Did you receive any sms from U mobile or your current telco?
If not, you should have refer to the service agent/service centre that did MNP for you.

Usual events in the MNP process
1. Once UM receive your MNP application, they should send a sms to you telling that they have received your application and are working with the MNP.
2. After that, few hours/mins before you are transferred to UM, you will receive sms from both UM and your current telco that you will be MNP-ed any time and if no more signals from your current sim card, change UM sim card.
3. Last sms, welcome message from UM and good bye message from your previous service provider.

Yeah, that's the best way, test it with their prepaid before mnp. So far it's awesome for me.
