I guess this is more of a developer fault rather than TM. Developer pulled the fiber but didn't bother to install network cable around the house.
*
Yes.. totally agreed.. developer... half cooked readiness !! :>
now in the midst of testing. Cable pulling is done.

Unifi's IPTV forces you to use their set up box. A user has found a way to get IPTV to be seen on computers in his home network, and a recent update disabled that, forcing him to only use the set up box. Other ISPs will allow you to watch IPTV from your computer by providing you a m3u playlist to play the channels over the network. What's the point of getting IPTV if you can only watch it from the STB?

I hope someone here can give me some advice. I have applied for Unifi and I asked them to come now as my house is under reno so that all the wiring will be hidden but those clowns say that they will only come when the reno is OVER. aiyah. I have told my contractor about this and he doesn't know what type of cables they use. So I asked him to lay a hidden conduit near my tv so tm guys can pull the cable thru it. My contractor asked me what size conduit I want?? When I asked TM they said they will come after reno is completed!!! Its like talking to a brick wall. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Anyone can help. I have googled and tried to find an answer but so far no use. HELP!!

what I can advise you is...

1.observe there is your telephone pole or under ground for some case...

2. standby a place where u expect the optic cable going to your house.. as near to the telephone pole coming in direction as possible.

3. from that point you ready... pull all Cat5 cable to place where u need Internet.. Esp the place you wanna put ur TV if you wanna use the IPTV...

in this case you don't need to worry where they can run the optic cable to.. just distribute using in house CAT5e...

You might want to try contacting the author of this blog and ask for his advice on how he got his internal wiring done.
