meaning minimal (if not none) 3rd party support...

think of the bootloader as the BIOS in a computer... with no access to or bypass of the bootloader, u can't even root it, not to mention custom ROMs...

and Motorola has been pretty unfriendly (almost to the pt of hostile) in this field with their notorious "e-Fuse" in the Droid/Milestone series and Defy...

Moto has allowed the e-Fuse in Xoom (and subsequent models in the future) to be switchable... but u need it to be "on" in order to receive OTA updates, or servicing...

y can't they juz be a little more friendly like SE and Samsung who have made clear that their future models (new Xperia series included) will have the bootloader unlocked?

Lol anyways, iPad2 launch is crazy in Malaysia, I never expected there're ppl queuing from midnight until morning for it, such phenomenons are only seen in foreign countries usually...

they ve to... else when Android comes in, it will be a hard battle...

rit now i think Apple's strategy is to grab as much market as possible...

easy answer to this, would you like iOS or Android..

iOS smooth, stable, nothing much to customize..

Asus Transformer might be buggy, u might wanna flash new roms, muchh muchh options to customize, HDMI too! and a keyboard!

If me, I would stay away from Apple due to the i-tunes thingy... just my own preference.

And I would also like to learn about those custom roms/image/whatever... for Android for knowledge reason. It makes me feel more into an IT guy... haha

Yeah, have enough with the trouble using iTunes. I don't like the way how iTunes import my songs (change to m4a) leading to messy song titles and names. Oh gosh

I am quite disappointed with the local pricing for the Transformer. RM1750 for just the 16GB version. Add another RM500 for the keyboard dock. What happened to being 100 USD cheaper than the iPad2?

Hard to say since the Eee Pad Transformer is not "officially" out in Malaysia iinm
And if want to compare with iPad2, we should just compare the tablet form of the Eee Pad Transformer which is cheaper?
