BKT has limitation actually, you can only take still objects and all your shots need to be the same, so you most probably need a tripid and remote trigger or use timer.

*
ya. for my shot it was handheld, without any tripod. one shot take 9 pictures with different exposures tongue.gif

I don't remember where I saw it, but I recalled reading that Nikon manufactures their D3s and D700 sensors by themselves to maintain quality.

the D7000 sensor uses Sony IMX071.
and seems its all used by A580, A55, and pentax K5.
D5100 should be same also...im sure got other Sony models that will use it soon.

This sounds really bad.... means we just pay Nikon for the built quality n user interface, but not the main heart of the equipment rclxub.gif

Yes that. But it doesn't appear that Sony is the one making it. But then again, its still the Nikon FX line up.

D7000 versus A580 versus K-5? Same heart, but overall performance? Lens choice? Cannot compare like that... lulz. Plus its using different processor!

Oh well, Nikon probably let sub-cons do the manufacturing I guess.
