try NetQin AV, it does scans, remote wipes,gps and remote lock - by using sms only to do that all, i got my codes in my sis phone there d, so if my hpone gets lost, the NetQin will sms my sis about a SIM change, and what code i enter wil ldecide which it will do, wipe, locate or lock

oh.. so it really worked?

btw, MIUI_Au 1.4.22 is out, another huge change log, seems to be really good

Radios have very minimal effects.

You must really monitor the -dB and WiFI's -dB or 3G's closely to notice the difference.

can flash from R1 without wipe?
i tried to flash, but stuck at bootanimation. IDK if it is bootloop or what because d image (MIUI AU) keep blinking. no animation..

Should MIUI backup, full wipe, flash then restore...

I think I got it. The alignment patch destroyed my EXT3. I will try again after this. Need to repartition and recharge again.

i installed the av after reading an article tweeted on my twitter saying that android have many malware problems. hence, installed it. dont know what else the AV does other than scanning though. its not like they updated their virus database often like on pc so yeah i dont think we need it. but i dont intend on removing it neither.

It really depends how the malware appears in the first place. * And how it gets to your phone

I guess Official Market are safe but jack sparrow Market might no guarantee for unknown apps. just install Lockout(or any other good AV) and scan occasional when u free.. unless u know very well what is app/source you download/install not from market, should be no problem.

whats with the hot charging issue in MIUI? i tot charging your Desire is hot around the sdcard area.... thats normal, right? thats the h/w problem that Desire having.. right?

anyway, i always put my phone on the ground (its ceramic tile ) while charging, and its cool until i start using it... thats normal to me....
